🇺🇸Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸
The 4th of July is a time for fireworks, food, and festivities. While we humans enjoy the celebrations, our pets might not feel the same way. Loud fireworks can startle them, holiday foods can be unhealthy or toxic, and summer heat and travel can pose health risks. Plus, dangerous debris can end up where pets can reach it such as fireworks from the night before or trash being left behind in the yard💔
Here are some tips to keep your pets safe during summer celebrations:
🐶 Keep collars and ID tags on at all times.
📞 Ensure all contact information for microchips is up-to-date.
📷 Take a current photo of all your pets – just in case they get out.
🐾Consider using calming products or a Thundershirt to help ease your dog's anxiety during the fireworks.
💙 Create a safe, escape-proof room or crate for your pet.
🎇If your pet isn’t a fan of all the booms, try taking them for a walk early in the day to wear them out and prevent any destructive behavior that can lead to escaping.
🏠 Keep your pets indoors as much as possible during the festivities.
🤢 Check your yard the next day for hazardous debris.
