We are a small clinic owned and operated by Dr. Sara Austin alongside Dr. Sam, Dr. Schmitt, Dr. Ellis, and Dr. Nowlan.

Our services include: general preventative care, in house laboratory, digital radiology, ultrasound, and surgery for small animals. We do our best to see our clients in an emergency during regular business hours. If we cannot see you, we will direct you to the nearest emergency clinic- Swansboro Animal Hospital Emergency and Trauma Center 910-325-8227

🎉 Congratulations to Ashley, our Employee of the Month for August!

Ashley has been a vital part of our team for several years, and many of you might recognize her from her time at the local animal shelter. Her extensive knowledge of veterinary medicine has made her an exceptional tech and a strong force at Austin Vet.

Ashley is one of our lead techs for the physical therapy/treadmill program, where she’s done incredible work helping pets in need. Our patients and clients absolutely adore her, and we couldn't agree more!

We have some kittens in need of homes! They are all currently being fostered by one of our technicians, and as much as she would love to keep them, she wants to find great places for them to live! All of these sweet kittens are current on vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped! They are super sweet, fun, and love attention! Their names will be found on the pictures below.

Five of these kittens came from a sweet mom, named Cutie, from the shelter. Cutie was brought into our hospital to be spayed, but we were quickly surprised with kittens instead! Her litter is about 12 weeks old.

The other two kittens, Tony and Kozy, are siblings from a good Samaritan. They are between 11-12 weeks old, current on vaccines and tested negative for FIV, FeLV, and intestinal parasites.

If you are interested in adopting one of the kittens, you can contact our local shelter (Carteret County Humane Society) or directly message their foster, Maria, at [email protected]. Please consider giving one of these sweet babies a home!

Axl is another one of our sweet babies that spends time every week with Cory on our under water treadmill. We've seen such an improvement in his mobility and cannot wait to see how far this takes him!

Coastie has been doing a great job during her under water treadmill sessions with Ashley! She is slowly becoming more active and gaining more muscle. She is feeling more like a puppy every day! If this is something you think could benefit your dog, let us know at your next visit!
