We Love Our Doctors!! ❤️

Dr. Katie Tarver is a Lake Charles native who graduated from Barbe High and attended McNeese State University before being accepted to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. She graduated from LSU SVM, earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in May of 2010, and practiced at Downtown Animal Hospital and Bayou South Animal Hospital before joining the Pet Emergency Clinic doctor team. Dr. Tarver is proficient in all aspects of veterinary medicine and has a special interest in surgery.

When not helping pets at the ER, Dr. Tarver is an avid reader and runner. She is married to local businessman Mr. Eric Tarver. They have a set of twins and numerous pets to complete her household.

Why is this day so important? Because it stresses the importance of spaying/neutering your pet! Overpopulation is a huge problem in SETX and the #1 reason why there are so many strays crowding our local shelters.

If you live within the Beaumont city limits, take advantage of our FREE spay/neuter voucher program. It is limited to 1 voucher per household per year and residents within Beaumont city limits only. To apply you must bring your ID and utility bill with a matching name & address. Appointments are given on a first come - first serve basis and are already being scheduled as far out as June & July. We're located at 1884 Pine st. Beaumont, TX 77703. Come apply Tuesday-Friday from 10AM-5PM and Saturdays from 10AM-4PM.

It’s best to keep pets on their regular diets during the holidays. However, if you would like to give your pet a feast to enjoy as well, you can offer them their usual dinner with a few small bits of cooked turkey meat, vegetables (try carrots, green beans, raw pumpkin, or sweet potato)
