Ok I've resurfaced from a state of busy exhaustion and I'm ready to start working with others again lol. Between normal chaotic summer things and our 3yr old not sleeping through the night again, we have been running on fumes! I've made an executive decision to not start actual classes until after Labor Day, but I will be having drop-in Rally and Obedience!!

Drop-in dates scheduled
Rally 6pm and Obedience 7:15pm
July 18, 25, Aug 1, 15, 22

Class schedule:
Starting Thurs Sept 5
6pm Rally Novice/Intermediate
7:15 Puppy Foundations

Starting Wed Sept 11
6pm Beginner Novice Obedience
7:15pm Novice Obedience

Our friends at Griffin Pub in Battle Creek are amazing and are allowing us to have a "Drinking with your Dog" class! Practice your obedience fundamentals while enjoying food and drinks. AND they even have a dog menu 🤯. This will be Mondays at 7:30pm on their patio Sept 9, 16, 23 and 30. Space is limited so shoot me a message to get on that list quickly!

Malus and Vela both trialed in Barn Hunt for the first time this weekend. Friday- Malus got 2 1st places in Novice and a High in Trial. Toda- she got 3rd place and her title. I decided to bring Vela along today and she got her Instinct title and tried Novice but NQ. She doesn't quite understand sticking her nose down into piles of straw yet lol, but was working really hard searching. Huge thank you to the club and property owners for putting this on in my area!

It looks like I will only be having Rally Obedience classes this session starting Monday. We still have spots in Novice/Intermediate, send me a message if you'd like to join! I will likely start obedience in June, if there is interest, so make sure to get on my lists now!

Drop-in Rally is a great opportunity to get some ring practice with your dog for fun or trial prep. I am available for questions but this is not a class. $10 per handler (can bring multiple dogs)

What did everyone accomplish in 2023?! And what are some of your goals for 2024?

Some of our accomplishments:
Vela earned her BH, AD, SG show rating, FDC, 1 leg of her RN, won the CH class at UKC Premier for her 1st Grand leg
Malus earned her first AKC points towards her CM, FDC title
Harper earned her FDC title
Whiskey will likely end the year in UKC top ten

And we co-bred a super special Bluetick Coonhound litter Whiskey x Secret🥰 (we will be looking for pet/performance homes for a couple)

We will continue herding and hopefully compete with both Malus and Vela. Vela will continue working towards her IGP 1 and Malus has a BH and AD on her agenda. And of course AKC and UKC conformation 💕

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Emerson cuddles after the day at my parents 🥰

We are expecting a litter of puppies next weekend, so I am holding off planning any new class schedules until after the puppies are here. I'm thinking early February though. I am doing privates and semi privates if you want some practice in the meantime!
