Around The Bend Farms (ATBF) is thrilled to announce an alliance that promises a harvest of health and hope. We've recently embarked on a mission with the High Desert Food & Farm Alliance (HDFFA) to fulfill the VeggieRX program, aiming to nourish the lives of at least 30 members of the Warm Springs Reservation community, weekly throughout the harvest season of 2024. We are also working with administrators at the Health & Human Services to facilitate a healthy food system on the reservation.
We focus on regenerative farming techniques in order to have the lowest impact on our environment. Focusing on environmental impact, regenerative farming involves striving to have a positive impact on the ecosystem we are working in.
Here is some progress being made on our farm! this is the land where the vegatables will be grown and here are the seeds waiting to germinate!
With our Farm to Warm Springs project, we are teaming with High Desert Food & Farm Alliance to fulfill the VeggieRX program, where we will be providing fresh vegetables to thirty members of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs!
Did you know that using Goats in order to mow lawns reduces Carbon emissions? Particulates from lawn mowers can get into lungs and damage a worker's health. We utilize them in a way that feeds them, while protecting our workers from dangerous fumes.
A great time was had by all, and the energy was palpable! The Farm-to-Warm Springs fundraiser was a glowing success, and we received quite an outpouring of wonderful community support. We are so grateful to all who attended and donated, and weโre especially grateful for the Warm Springs Community Action Team for collaborating with us on such an important and impactful food sustainability project.
Event planning starts with great people and a solid plan.. We had a productive meeting today to discuss roles and layout ๐๐๐ช๐ผ๐Feeling grateful for our new volunteers ๐ซถ๐ป

The most environmentally friendly way to reduce weeds on your land is with local goats! ๐Weโre currently prepping our new farm in Deschutes River Woods for overwintering for a more seamless transition into Spring 2024! Weโre proud of this beautiful symbiotic relationship we formed with these goats to reach our weeding goals! Itโs important to us that we steward our land sustainably in order to both support our community and our ecosystem๐ A special thank you to our friend Kat for letting us borrow your weed wackers for the day๐
