Stray Acres Sanctuary and Animal Rescue is a State of Texas non profit , that was established as a non-profit corporation in Bertram, TX. officially in December of 2012, but the idea has been a lifelong goal. We also promote the spay or neutering of companion animals, to help prevent overpopulation. We believe in the practice of Trap, Neuter, Release, (TRN) of feral cats. and strive to educate th

e public on the benefits of these practices. We educate the public against Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) to promote equality for all breeds, and to help fight the prejudice toward "aggressive" breeds. We are located in the Hill Country of Central Texas, west of Austin and have set about completing our life's goal by providing a permanent home for animals either through sanctuary here or through re-homing by adoption.

We learned last week of the passing of one our favorites, Bonnie Blue, she lost her fight with cancer, but was home with your Mom and Dad and so very loved, thank you Emily and Raymond.

Giving Tuesday is coming up Nov. 30, 2021 and per usual we are requesting your consideration on this day
These are but a few of our long term dogs available for adoption, and so deserving of a home of there own and we can't forget those that are here for the remainder of their lives. We are no longer a 501C3 as it made little difference. Crystal and I have devoted our lives, our finances, our marriage to caring for these babies without a lot of outside help and will always do so.

Clara ...
