It’s that time of year again when our county commission approves or denies our budget. In previous years we have taken devastating budget cuts. With the hard work of our staff and volunteers we have successfully been a no kill shelter for five years! This year we saved 2,436 animals by either sending them to rescue, adopting them locally or reuniting them their owners. Please take the time to call and email your county commissioners and tell them to support the New River Humane Society by approving our annual budget. The dogs and kitties thank you very much! Likes and shares help save lives too!
