Our fee-waived weekend for all small animals is happening now! Come by any of our three locations through Sunday, 6/16, to meet the smallest of our ARL animals looking for their new homes. Please note, that although adoption fees will be waived for these animals, our standard adoption process will still be in place and we require a photo of the animal’s enclosure before adoption can be finalized.

#SeniorSunday Meet Mary Jane!
This lovely lady may be 14-years-old, but she is young at heart. Mary Jane adores attention and has no issue demanding it. She's a champion head-butter who enjoys sitting on laps and getting pets; she’s even friendly at the vet's office. In her previous home, Mary Jane would become rambunctious and over-stimulated at night, so she is looking for an experienced cat owner who's up for providing her with lots of playtime and space to run around. Mary Jane would love to be your one and only! Come meet her this week at our Boston Animal Care & Adoption Center (10 Chandler St).

Meet Pearl 🦪
It’s said that one must have immense patience to wait for a pearl to be ready, and the same can be said about this gem of a cat. But once you break through her hard, protective shell, she is sweet and affectionate in her own special way. Before coming to ARL, Pearl was living alone in an attic and as a result she is quite shy. This sweet lady is looking for a home that will allow her the time and space she needs to settle into her new surroundings. Pearl spent some time in foster and her foster mom reported that when she’s really relaxed she’ll play with her string toys and even eat Churu right off your fingers! If you’re looking for a cat as unique as its namesake, then come meet Pearl tomorrow between 1:00-6:00pm at our Dedham Animal Care & Adoption Center (55 Anna’s Pl).

**Update: adopted!!** It’s #AdoptARescuedRabbitMonth— which means it is the perfect time to find Jack a home! This sweet and social boy loves to free roam and explore any chance he gets. He enjoys head and behind the ear pets and is looking for an affectionate and attentive owner. Although he has not mastered the litter box, he is very good at not going to the bathroom outside of his pen when hopping around. He is his happiest when snacking on strawberries, bananas, and his favorite green, parsley. We can promise, nobunny compares to him! Come meet Jack tomorrow between 1:00pm-6:00pm at our Dedham Animal Care & Adoption Center (55 Anna’s Pl).

BREAKING: Today, Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) hosts a press conference at its Boston Animal Care & Adoption Center, where Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden announces the formation of a Task Force, which will centralize various agencies, including ARL, in Suffolk County involved in animal abuse cases. This streamlined approach will improve information flow, create a more proficient understanding of animal cruelty investigations and prosecutions, and identify necessary legislative improvements to the state’s animal protection laws.
The task force will be chaired by Assistant District Attorney Amelia Singh, chief of the DA’s office in Chelsea District Court, and will include members of the Animal Rescue League of Boston; Chelsea, Boston, Winthrop, and Revere police departments, Massachusetts State Police, Massachusetts Environmental Police, Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, United States Department of Agriculture, and the animal control departments in Boston, Chelsea, Winthrop and Revere.
