Signs of dehydration in pets include (but are not limited to) dry nose, excessive drooling, lethargy, sticky gums, vomiting, and/or diarrhea. If your pet exhibits any of these signs, please contact us right away.

WEEKLY EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: MEET VANESSA!
We're thrilled to introduce Vanessa, one of our new and incredibly hardworking Veterinary Assistants, affectionately know as "Vane." Vanessa is our office's ray of sunshine, always bringing smiles and laughter to those around her.

***Why She Loves The Industry:****
Vanessa is passionate pet lover, and her heart lies in helping animals in need. She says there's nothing more rewarding than knowing she's made a difference in the life of a pet.

***What She Loves About Brentwood Veterinary: *********
Vanessa enjoys working with her co-workers, especially Fiorela, and is know as the hospital's comedian. She also loves helping our clients particularly our Spanish-speaking community. ensuring everyone feels welcome and cared of.

**Her Furry Friends:******
Vanessa is the proud mom of Bo, a Pit Terrier mix rescue she treats like her own child. She also has a horse in Mexico named Lluvia, which means "Rain."

****Outside of Work:**********
When she's not at the hospital, Vanessa enjoys fishing with her dad and friends, hiking with her family, and spending quality time with her parents and sisters. She's very family-oriented and is the oldest of Three Siblings.

We're also excited to share that Vanessa recently graduated from a Veterinary Technician program. We couldn't be more proud to have her on our team!

Meet Holley: A Passionate Newcomer at Brentwood Vet

We are thrilled to introduce Holley one of our enthusiastic newcomers to Brentwood Veterinary Hospital Joining our team in November, Holley serves as a Veterinary Assistant and has quickly become a valuable asset to our practice. Her eagerness, upbeat attitude, and dedication shine through in everything she does.
Holley has a deep passion for being an advocate for our furry patients. She takes immense pride in providing gentle, consoling and safe care, considering it a privilege to make a difference in their lives. To ensure every pet has a happy stress-free visit, Holly has completed fear free classes, underscoring her commitment to exceptional care.
When asked about her favorite aspect of working at Brentwood Vet, Holley highlighted the joy of being part of a team of bright , dedicated woman and the satisfaction of helping the pets in our community.
In her personal life, Holley is a devoted pet parent. Her furry family includes Wrangler, a big yellow quarter horse, three spoiled boxers, Cali (7 years old), Codee (5 Years old) Kennee Sue (under a year old) and three sweet kitties Sherpa, Todd and Chicken. Holley takes great pride in her beloved animals.

Out side of work, Holley finds peace and joy in nature. She loves riding her horses and performs at rodeos. She also enjoys camping and trail riding around California. Holley is actively pursuing her cowgirl dreams and cherishes every moment spent in the great outdoors.

Weekly Employee Spotlight:
Meet Laura, one of our dedicated Client Service Representatives. On August 4th. Laura will celebrate 20 years with our office. She is known for providing impeccable customer service and meticulous attention to detail with every patient. You might hear whistling around the office, often using her favorite saying, "Sheshcombeebles."
When asked why she enjoys working at Brentwood Veterinary Hospital, Laura shared that she loves interacting with our clients and staff, who feel like friends and family.
Laura's personal cat, Luke, is a 16-year-old stray and FeLV-Positive. Luke is a "Love bug," except when receiving his monthly Solensia Injection.
In her free time, Laura loves to travel. She recently visited England for the first time and plans to return to Italy later this year, after an 18 year hiatus. Next year, she hopes to travel to Vietnam with her son. Laura is married to her high school sweetheart, Jim, whom she has known since she was 16. They have two adult children, Lindsay and Bryan. Laura also has two grandson's from daughter Lindsay, Charlie 9 and Duncan 6.

Employee Spotlight: Meet Melissa!

Meet Melissa. Affectionately known as Mel. one of our dedicated Veterinary Assistants at Brentwood Veterinary Hospital. With Nearly 25 years of service since joining us in 1999, Melissa has become a beloved and constant presence in our team.

When asked why she loves working in this industry, Melissa shared, " I enjoy working with animal because it honestly warms my to heart to be able to help and know I'm making difference with these big-hearted animals. They deserve to be cared for like our family."
Melissa also treasures her interactions with clients, saying "Over the year, I have enjoyed talking with clients and creating a bond with them so they know and are confident that their fur babies are in good hands."
Outside of work, Mel loves spending time with her family and being outdoors. Whether it's camping, fishing, riding ATV's , hiking or gardening, she enjoys every moment in nature. additionally, she takes delight in feeding finches and hummingbirds. Mel is happily married and has two children.
Melissa's dedication and warmth have made her an integral part of our team, and our clients truly adore her. We are incredibly grateful for her unwavering commitment and the joy she brings to Brentwood Veterinary Hospital.

1. Pet-proof your home: Secure loose wires, keep candles out of reach, remove stove k***s.
2. Create a pet emergency kit: Include food, water, medications, and vet records.
3. Practice fire drills: Familiarize your pets with escape routes and meeting spots.

As the 4th of July approaches, we would to inform you that we will be open today to accommodate any last-minute medication needs for your pets, including those for anxiety and sedation.

Please note that our Hospital will be closed on the 4th of July. in case of a emergency, we recommend contacting Sage, East Bay Veterinary or VEG.

We will resume normal operations on the 5th of July and will be available to assist with any other needs you may have.
