To our community,
We are reaching out to give you some information about the 2020 growing season and to invite you to take part. We have started our seeds and are ready to direct sow cold crops into the field after the anticipated heavy rains this next week.
We promise to bring fresh produce to our neighbors and families as quickly as possible this year. Our CSA ranges from about mid June and spans for 16 weeks. We will send out alerts when crops are ready to either start the CSA membership, or to buy outside of the membership program by the pound until more variety becomes available for our members. We will be offering local deliveries as well for a nominal fee for people who are less mobile.
Please consider being a part of the Eldredge Farm CSA, to ensure healthy nutrition to you and your families. As always, buying direct from farms provides stability to farmers and their communities alike. Our vegetables are as cleaned and are barely touched by human hands aside from harvest. If you don’t have the availability to commit to a membership, we can work with your budget through the season and get you fresh produce by the pound.
Whether this is a gift for your friends or family, or if you will be enjoying it yourself, we anticipate a bountiful summer at Eldredge Farm.

This Is our first week of CSA and have sent out some beautiful shares so far. In the greenhouses we were able to get a jump start in our raised beds and have cucumbers, carrots, green beans, garlic, and tomatoes. From the big garden outside; romaine, red lettuce, kale, and radishes. It's not too late to start please talk to your family and see if you would want to be involved in a 16 week program, and pick up veggies that were picked fresh for you. Hello and good morning! Today after watering the greenhouses we thought we should tell you about our vegetable, perennial, and tree farm. We are family owned and newly operated by family starting this past February. We have been growing our tomato, pepper, and cucumber plants tall in the greenhouses and have been producing onions, carrots, garlic, lettuces, green beans, basil, and kale so far with a lot of other veggies too! For years this land was passed as through families and landed with us. We have been making many strides this year to produce as much as we can for the families of the cape and our visitors. You are all so important to us! We welcome class tours by appointment, families and walk in customers. Please call ahead if the weather is funny! And check our hours they will always be updated to fit our work crew and market days!! We will meet you out or you can meet us at market. We recently had a group of students and teachers come out and plant up one of our seedlings to take home. It was a great time for us and them.
We have a CSA membership that starts on june 16 for weekly pickup for 16 weeks through the summer . We have 1/4 shares, 1/2 shares, and full shares available! We will accommodate any family size and help pick what's best for you.

We are at the weekly farmers markets in Chatham ---- Tuesdays (3-6:30 parking is available at 1674 Main Street Chatham MA) and Saturdays ---- (8-1 at 5 old colony way Orleans MA) among many amazing members and local cape codders.

Tip of the week: Remember if you must spray chemicals spray them when the sun is fading as the bees are asleep! You wouldn't want to kill them with roundups and pest control!

Today, in the rain til about 6 or so,(weather permitting,) we are at the chatham farmers market next to ocean state job lot selling our first harvest of green beans, garlic, cukes, and our special salad mix with fresh dill, romaine, red and green curly leaf, Swiss chard, baby kale, and specialty Italian dandelion ! Also we have beautiful handmade soaps, German Johnson organic heirloom tomato plants, many perennials, shrubs, and hanging baskets!
