I wanted to update everyone who has viewed , liked, shared Ophelia and her road to happiness but unfortunately with a heavy heart I will not be able to advocate for her any longer. So the Director of the Shelter has shunned me from the shelter and from volunteering with Ophelia .I believe The Director Pam Green became uncomfortable when I began questioning some serious conditions of the kennel. For example there is no hot water for sterilizing, cleaning & bathing dogs especially from other countries , jagged fencing between the runs where dogs have been seriously injured needing stitches, understaffing making it impossible to socialize and exercise the dogs, & no air conditioning .
For many months & several days a week I spent with Ophelia working with her trust issues & socializing her, giving her love, attention taking her on walks & even hiring my own trainer to work with her but with the Directors insecurities of the health conditions of the kennel she has done a terrible injustice to Ophelia & has made it even harder for her to become adopted . The staff, volunteers, myself and the trainer had seen such progress with her my heart is broken. Shame on you Pam Green, Director of Kent Animal Shelter.

I am sweet, smart, loyal, I love walks and I am great on a leash, I can sit and play fetch and even bring the ball back to you. I am super affectionate once I trust you and it doesn't take long.
I would love a quiet home and to be your one and only without dogs, cats or kids, I haven't been socialized while living in my kennel.
