joyfulpumpkins.com My passion for farming initially grew out of my first career in animal welfare and a deep concern for agriculture’s devastating environmental impacts. I quickly found that there was no way to live but with my hands in the soil and my heart a steward for the lives of
animals and health of the land. I’ve worked in urban farm development, organic vegetable production, and have now have found my niche in perennial pasture farming. I’m currently developing a grazing management and cropping plan for a 4 acre riverside property in Carbondale, Colorado, on loan from a generous supporter. I have a special fondness for heritage hogs and turkeys, and am deeply committed to improving feed systems, husbandry practices, and production efficiency to give sustainability a competitive edge in agricultural and our community.
