After 373 days, Mieka is still here at Frito Paws Rescue waiting for her forever home!!

This girl is such a sweetheart. She loves to play in the lake and go for walks. Great with kids, male dogs, and cats. She LOVES to snuggle and play with toys (keep away is her favorite)

You will notice in her pictures that she has put on some weight throughout her year here 🙂

Mieka is a 3 year old Border Collie/Springer Spaniel mix that is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, and microchipped!

*UPDATE*SHE IS HOME SAFE AND SOUND*

ROSIE IS LOST NEAR CHETEK AND IS BLIND!

Our dog, Rosie, got out this morning in Chetek near Wildwood resort. She is sesame colored and blind. My kids and I are devastated and I’m sure Rosie is terrified. Please let us know if you have her. 815-922-7076. She is microchipped. Thank you.

What happened tonight is the reason I feel the need to put this reminder out there.

In the last 2 weeks my family and I have pulled over on busy roads to pick up/save dogs multiple times.

Tonight my children and I pulled over to help an elder Border Collie that was running down the middle of the road - alone. We stopped and leashed the sweet boy. After bringing him to safety off the road we realized he did not have a collar on! We had no one to call to find his home. Thank goodness we located his owner within a mile of us.

Even if your dog is chipped-please put an id tag on their collar as well.

Miss Mieka is STILL available for adoption!

Mieka is a Border Collie/Springer Spaniel mix. She is 2.5 years olds.

Mieka absolutely loves people and kids. She is good with all male dogs but is selective with females. From what we have seen she is good with cats - just wants to check them out and chase them if they run.

Her dream life would be getting loves, playing with her humans, and laying in the sunshine all day! Mieka is great off leash (in the country), she sticks close to people. Her perfect home will have room for her to run and explore, but if there are chickens (her newly discovered squeak toys) she will pounce and mouth on them.
