🎉Congrats 🎉 Jacob Talley-Professional Steer Wrestler

There’s an American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame racehorse, Kaweah Bar, who was nicknamed “the palomino express” for his flat-track speed in the 1960s. Fast forward several decades, and there’s a horse at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo who might also deserve that title.

Guys Best Effort, better known as “Casper,” is owned by Louisiana bulldogger Jacob Talley and is also being ridden at the NFR by fellow Louisianan Tyler Waguespack, who rode him to tie for the win in Round 7. In the ultra-competitive Round 8, Jacob clocked a 3.5 to get second place. Combined, they have earned more than $141,700 on his back through Round 8.
Casper, 17, is sired by the great Frenchmans Guy by American Quarter Horse Hall of Famer Sun Frost, and his dam is a daughter of world champion and Hall of Fame racehorse Special Effort. According to Qdata, Frenchmans Guy has sired the earners of more than $13 million, with most of that coming in barrel racing.
