URGENT, PLEASE READ:

We want to thank all of our clients and their family members for being patient with us.

As of today, November 29th, we will be cancelling ALL future and upcoming appointments for the time being. We understand that this is very inconvenient for everyone; however, our water pipes have unfortunately frozen over and we will not be able to do any dogs until we are able to get this sorted. With this news, we bring only further unfortunate news.

We currently will not be rescheduling any other dogs either. Our one and only groomer, Paige, will be leaving us to move to a different state, as the military will be moving her family to a different duty station.

We do apologize for any inconvenience this may bring others, and we do apologize for this being such short notice. We realized that the pipes were frozen over after arriving at our first client of the day’s home, and had the unfortunate problem arise just before we were able to even start the service with the pup.

If you have any further questions, please let us know. If you need grooming suggestions, please ask us.

Hello!

As of recently these past two and a half weeks, our only groomer has been sick. She has recovered enough that she is able to get back to doing appointments again.

Unfortunately, due to a recent passing in the family, she will have to reschedule some dogs this week. However, we are currently unsure of what days she will need to reschedule, so all appointments will still stand and resume on schedule until there is further information about the funeral arrangements.

ANY clients that were previously rescheduled from the past two weeks due to the groomer being sick will be receiving a 20% discount for their service. Anyone that is getting rescheduled again due to the funeral will be getting a 40% discount to make up for the several reschedules.

We absolutely apologize for the major inconvenience this is becoming. The passing was unexpected, but we ask that you be patient with us during this time. If you haven’t received a message or reply about booking an appointment with us, please bear with us. We are trying to get back to the routine after the last few weeks. We will be answering all current appointment requests.

A way to help educate as we move into the colder seasons and our clientele starts to grow!

If your dog tends to react like this during their nail trims or their paws being touched, the absolute best way to properly acclimate them to it is by simply touching their paws at home! A good paw rub for 5 minutes a day will do wonders for your dog at home and will help your groomer majorly!

Same with brushing! We always, always recommend a slicker brush without plastic pins on the bristles and a fine tooth comb to get to the skin! Doing this for just 5-10 minutes a day for a dog that doesn’t enjoy brushing helps tremendously! Always remember that if your dog tries to bite or whine or scream during brushing, they are not desensitized to it yet and when you stop doing it, they know that the behavior they are displaying works to get the uncomfortable thing to stop! A slicker brush and a comb does not hurt your pup! It may feel uncomfortable for a moment, but once they’re desensitized, it becomes relaxing!

Make sure when you get your new puppy that you touch their paws, tails, muzzles, ears, and legs everyday until they no longer react by pulling away or whipping around or sitting! Don’t pull on those things, but just touching them and rubbing your fingers around is enough!

We always advocate for the pups to make their grooming experience more enjoyable and less stressful!

We did a lovely set of doodles today named Maverick and Skye! Unfortunately, we totally forgot to take a picture of Skye, but we definitely got one of Maverick! They were both very sweet and gave as many kisses as I asked for with no hesitation!

Hello!

With the holidays coming up, we wanted to let you all know that there will be delayed responses to messages and booking appointments. Our groomer is currently out-of-state to celebrate the holiday, but she will try to answer and reach out to the best of her ability during this time. Once she is back, the responses should pick back up and we will be able to answer on a timely manner!

Good evening, everyone!

We are making this post and announcement to keep you all up-to-date that follow our page. There will also be a mass text sent out to all of our current and new clients with and without current appointments booked.

HOURS CHANGE:

Recently, we have been having trouble getting to appointments on time based upon when we open. Because of this, we have decided that we will be changing our hours and removing a day from the schedule to allow ourselves to get two full days of time-off. Here are the new hours:

MONDAY - THURSDAY: 10AM to 6PM.
FRIDAY: CLOSED.
SATURDAY: 11AM to 3PM.
SUNDAY: CLOSED.

These hours have been implemented so we can better serve you all on time. We want to be respectful of getting to you on time (unless there is a reason for it; for example, traffic or a serious incident) and bringing you the best mobile pet service we can bring!

All current appointments booked outside of these times will stay in place, but as we move forward, these will be the new hours to follow.

POLICY CHANGES:

We have recently had an influx of clients wanting to pay via invoice payments, which is perfectly okay with us at The Woofs’ Den! However, to ensure that the invoice is paid in a timely manner, we are implementing a Late Invoice Payment fee. We give up to 48 hours for a client to pay their invoice, if it has not been paid 30 minutes to an hour after the appointment has been completed. We will give appropriate reminders within the 48 hours (to ensure we are not pestering or bothering you, we will only do this twice in the 48 hours) to ensure that you are aware that this invoice needs to be paid. If the invoice is not paid and a fee is tacked on, it is a $20 fee added to your invoice once a week after the 48 hours has gone. We are putting this in place because while we are doing this to make sure you and your pets have an easy, comfortable experience with us as a mobile grooming service, in order for us to continue to provide such service, we have to have the funds to continue.

These policies will be updated by the end of the week and we will be sending a mass text out to all current and new clients with or without appointments that has the new service policies form that must be signed by all of our clients. This form is only signed once, unless we make changes to it - then, you will simply sign the new one. Please, make sure to read it over and understand the documentation you are signing.

OTHER MISC INFORMATION:

We have had a lot of clients booking appointments 24 hours or less than 24 hours before the appointment. We require at least a minimum of 48 hours of notice, as we have to accept the booking and ensure that your pet is within our weight and age limit. Please make sure you are booking at least 48 hours away.

As for our age and weight limit, we have a weight limit of 65 pounds with very few exceptions. Any dogs that are above the weight of 40 pounds MUST be booked on Saturdays. We have this policy in place because our grooming van is very small and it is difficult for the larger dogs to walk across the small bridge we have connecting to the bathtub. We don’t want your pet to get injured when they’re being moved into the tub.

Our age limit is 11 years and older. We do not take dogs above the 11 years old mark. This is due to a multitude of health issues these old pups could have. While we understand that a lot of pups that are on the older side don’t have any health issues, the grooming scene can be very stressful for older dogs, which can cause them to overwhelm themselves and potentially cause harm to themselves or others. We recommend speaking with a vet with grooming services in their facilities, or finding a groomer that is more suitable for older pups. It’s not that we don’t love the older furbabies; we just want them to be safe and happy and clean in an environment where they’ll be able to be taken care of immediately if something were to happen.
