PSA: Tomorrow, Saturday June 13th is The Hooley Festival on Kamms Corner! This means that the entire street of Lorain from Rocky River Drive to W165th will be CLOSED.

If you have an appointment we kindly ask that you plan accordingly and have an alternative route if this is the way you typically travel.

🐾 Furbaby Friday Feature 🐾

This week we're featuring Teenie the We**ie! 🌭🐶💕

This adorable little Dachshund puppy came in today for one of her puppy vaccine visits, and she completely stole everyone's hearts. With her sweet personality and irresistible puppy charm, Teenie quickly became the center of attention around the hospital. 🥰

Teenie is getting close to a big milestone! She only has one more round of puppy vaccines and her rabies vaccine left before she'll be fully protected and ready to safely socialize with other dogs and explore more of the world.

Many puppy owners are eager to start introducing their new family member to other dogs, but it's important to remember that puppies aren't fully protected from serious diseases, such as parvovirus, until they've completed their vaccine series. That's why we recommend being cautious about dog parks, pet stores, and interactions with unknown dogs until your veterinarian gives the all-clear.

We're so proud of how brave Teenie has been during her puppy visits, and we can't wait to see her back for her final vaccines and watch her continue to grow!

Whether you're pitching a tent, exploring hiking trails, or relaxing by the campfire, many pets love outdoor adventures just as much as we do.

Before you hit the trail, remember a few camping safety essentials:
🐕 Keep pets on a leash or under reliable control
💧 Bring plenty of fresh water
🦟 Stay up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
🏷️ Make sure ID tags and microchip information are current
🔥 Keep pets safely away from campfires and cooking areas

With a little preparation, camping can be a fun and memorable experience for the whole family—including your four-legged adventure buddy. 🌲💙

At WPAH, we believe that everyone deserves to feel welcome, respected, and supported—both in our hospital and in our community. 🐾 Furbaby Friday Feature 🐾

This week we're featuring Sonia, an absolutely adorable kitten who was just under 12 weeks old when she came in for her very first kitten visit. 😻

Sonia was a complete sweetheart from the moment she arrived and quickly stole the hearts of our entire team. With those tiny paws, curious eyes, and sweet personality, it's safe to say she made quite the impression!

During her first kitten exam, Sonia got off to a great start on her preventive care journey. She received her first FVRCP and FeLV vaccines, a deworming treatment, and underwent routine screening testing, which came back negative. We also sent out a f***l sample as part of her comprehensive kitten wellness care.

The first few months of a kitten's life are an important time for building a foundation for lifelong health, and Sonia was a perfect patient for all of it. 💕

We can't wait to watch this little girl grow and see her back for her booster vaccines in a few weeks!

🍩🐱 Happy National Donut Day!

This kitty may be rocking a "donut" of a different kind, but it still seemed fitting for today's celebration! 😄

While human donuts should stay off the menu for pets, we're taking today as a reminder that sometimes our furry friends have to wear the cone of shame after surgery or an injury—and that's actually something worth celebrating. Why? Because it means they're on the road to recovery! 💙

Whether your pet has worn a traditional cone, an inflatable collar, or a donut-style recovery collar, we know they somehow manage to make it both adorable and dramatic at the same time.

Here's to healing, happy pets, and maybe a donut (for the humans) today! 🍩🐾
