🎄 Christmas in July – The Giving Tree is Back! 🎄

At West Park Animal Hospital, we’re celebrating a little extra holiday spirit this summer by supporting local animal rescues through our Christmas in July Giving Tree. 🌟

Your generous donations help provide vital veterinary care and medications for animals in need. ❤️

To participate, simply select a donation ornament from our Giving Tree featuring your favorite rescue organization and bring it to one of our customer service representatives at the front desk. (Ornaments are returned to the tree once your donation has been processed.)

If you can’t stop by in person, you can always donate directly through your chosen rescue’s website or page.

Say hello to Spikey, our fashionable little friend who came in dressed for summer fun in a bucket hat and breezy tee! 🧢☀️ This dapper Chihuahua was here for his annual wellness exam and to have a possible eye infection checked out.

He went home with some medication to help that eye feel better, and we’re wishing him a quick recovery and lots more sunny days ahead! 💛👁️‍🗨️🐶

Staying hydrated isn’t just important for us—it’s essential for our pets, too! Proper hydration supports healthy digestion, joint function, temperature regulation, and more.

Here are a few ways to keep your furry friend hydrated and healthy, especially during the hot summer months:

🥤 Fresh water daily – Make sure their bowl is clean and full at all times.
🌿 Multiple water stations – Especially for larger homes or multi-pet households.
🧊 Add ice cubes – A fun way to cool down and stay hydrated.
🍉 Water-rich treats – Safe fruits like watermelon (remove rind/seeds, or cucumbers – all in moderation!– are refreshing and hydrating.
🚿 Watch for signs of dehydration – Lethargy, dry gums, sunken eyes, or loss of skin elasticity.
