🌊🐾 Happy National Fitness Day! 🏋️♀️
Today, we're celebrating the power of fitness and wellness for pets, especially through the incredible benefits of hydrotherapy. 💦 Meet Ein, a 13 ½ year old Corgi who's defying age and staying active with the help of hydrotherapy!
Ein underwent lateral suture surgery in 2021 to repair a torn CCL in her hind leg. Thanks to dedicated rehabilitation efforts here at WPAH, including hydrotherapy sessions, Ein's knee healed as best as it could. Even after recovery, Ein's owner decided to continue hydrotherapy to support her overall health and wellness because of how well she was doing.
Now, over 13 years old, Ein is still romping and playing with her much younger brother, all thanks to the benefits of hydrotherapy. Ein's owner also shared that she's now off all her daily oral medications for arthritis, thanks to a monthly injection called Librela.
Ein's story shows the incredible impact of hydrotherapy on pets' mobility, vitality, and quality of life. 🐶💪 If you have a pet who could benefit from hydrotherapy or other fitness-focused therapies, we encourage you to explore these options with our veterinarians.
Let's celebrate National Fitness Day by promoting health and happiness for our furry friends! Share your pet's fitness journey or hydrotherapy experiences in the comments below. Together, we can keep our pets active, happy, and thriving. 🌟
Here's to many more years of play and joy for Ein and all our special furry companions! 🐾❤️

January is Train Your Dog Month, a time to focus on teaching your furry friend new skills and reinforcing good behavior.
Training not only helps improve your dog's behavior, but also strengthens your bond with them. Some basic commands to teach your dog include sit, stay, come, and heel. Of course you can get more advanced with training, but it all comes back to utilizing positive reinforcement techniques such as treats and praise that can help make training a positive experience for both you and your dog.
Remember to be patient and consistent in your training efforts, and seek professional help if needed. Happy Train Your Dog Month!

World Animal Enrichment Day is a day to celebrate and promote the importance of providing animals with stimulating and engaging environments. Enrichment activities can improve an animal's physical and mental well-being, prevent boredom, and encourage natural behaviors.
There are many ways to enrich animals' lives, such as providing toys, puzzles, and sensory experiences. As animal lovers, we can all do our part to ensure that animals in captivity receive the enrichment they need to thrive.
Let's use this day to raise awareness and take action to make a positive difference in the lives of animals around the world.
National Treat Your Pet Day is an opportunity to show your furry friend some extra love and attention. Whether it's a new toy, a special treat, or some one-on-one playtime, take the time to make your pet feel appreciated.
Consider taking them on a walk to a new park or simply cuddling up for a movie night. Remember, pets bring us so much joy and companionship, so let's take this day to return the favor and spoil them a little bit.

August is Itchy Pet Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about the discomfort and health issues that itchy pets can experience.
Itching is a common problem in pets, and it can be caused by a variety of factors, including allergies, parasites, infections, and skin diseases. If your pet is constantly scratching, licking, or biting at their skin, it's important to take them to the vet for a check-up. Our veterinarians can help determine the underlying cause of your pet's itching and recommend appropriate treatment options.
Remember, a healthy and happy pet is a pet that isn't constantly scratching and itching!
