Sandman and Renegade are coming to CT!!! It's official, we scheduled the haul for our two boys to come to our rescue in CT. It is time for them to find their forever home and their are people interested in them in our area. These boys were in the Checkerboard round up in 2017 then found their way into a feed lot in Colorado where we purchased them with the help of the Cloud Foundation. Our hauler is scheduled to pick them up around September 21st, and the cost is $2500. Please consider a tax deductable donation to our rescue to transport these boys from Wyoming to CT. Thank you

Yesterday a foal was run, broken and shot, at the Fish Creek roundup of wild horses.
This youngster survived day 8 (WHE were the only observer). All are not so lucky.

We just wanted to thank everyone who has reached out to check on Laurel. the people who had her did not intentionally starve her- she had stopped eating because she was sick. This does not excuse them not taking her right to a vet but we are not here to judge others right now - we are here to raise money to help Laurel and to send positive vibes Laurel's way. We understand everyone's outrage but please also understand that many times people do not want to turn animals over to shelters because of the fear of being judged or because the shelters just simply will not help them. Even though Laurel is not from our community, we will not turn our backs on her. Through the generosity of everyone who donates and helps us, we hope to save her. We could not do it without all of you! Thank you for your continued support!

Everyday we get tons of requests ( from people not from our area) to take in their animals. Yesterday a person came to the shelter to say they found this dog in our Town, they lied and came back and said it was really their dog. They were unable to care for her as she hadn't eaten in weeks. After talking with this person they have personal issues going on in their life and unfortunately the dog was not a priority. The dog is 5 years old, a standard poodle and has a horrendous case of lyme disease and anaplasmosis which has shut her kidneys down. We are trying to reverse it and save her life which will cost thousands of dollars. We need you to donate now more than ever. EVERY SINGLE DAY these animals arrive at our door step. We don't want to turn them away.

As it turns out, Petey ended up going to summer camp rather than his forever home. He's back with us again, but returns in excellent condition with a few more experiences under his belt...having been ridden down country roads and through the woods with a person who adores him. Hopefully it will work out for both of them again someday. But in the meantime, Petey has found his way back to Ray of Light Farm.
