In my free time I like to read, go axe throwing, sing, check out museums, go to concerts, try new food places, and enjoy all types of art (music being number 1). I started working at The City Dog last July and it’s been an amazing year getting to know your kids! I love all of their goofy personalities and hilarious sleeping positions. The doggo knowledge I have gained has been exponential and wonderful. Thank you all for trusting me with your amazing pups! (:

Meet the staff Wednesday!👩🏻‍💼🐶 | Meet Christine: Hi my name is Christine! I started working at The City Dog back in November and have absolutely loved every minute of it! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from The Ohio State University and I’m thrilled to finally be following my passion for animals and helping to care for our furry friends here at The City Dog. I’m so thankful to be part of this amazing team and to be able to love on all of the sweet fur babies every day!

Meet the staff Wednesday!👩🏻‍💼🐶 | Meet Kelly: Hi, I’m Kelly. I’m a Dog-Mom to four Huskies and a boxer mix. I’m the General Manager at The City Dog as well as a part time volunteer for a Husky rescue based out of Michigan. I have always loved dogs, but for the last 24 years, they have become increasingly more prominent in my life. In 2015, I adopted my first Husky, Coilin. Three years later, I adopted a 4 year old husky, Aiden, from the Hairy Houdini Siberian Husky Rescue. After that, I started volunteering for the organization on a part time basis. Six months later, my 3rd Husky, Faolan, also from the rescue, found his way home. He came to us as a puppy with a birth defect called Short Ulna Syndrome that required a couple of surgeries and 6 months of recovery. He is by far, the most dramatic of all the boys. Two years later, I received an emergency call from the rescue to foster a poor 1.5 year old, who was saved from a puppy mill/hoarding situation. I drove 7 hours and met the team in Toledo to pick him up. I was absolutely set on it being a temporary arrangement until his health improved. So, after 18 months of fostering, Ronan, my 4th Husky, officially joined the pack. I continue to volunteer for the rescue, part time, doing vet reference and home checks for potential adopters here in Ohio. I have studied canine nutrition while working at several pet supply stores in Columbus. In 2021, I began working for a local daycare/boarding facility as a kennel tech and paw care. As a full time college student, full time employee for the State of Ohio and full time dog mom, my shifts at the daycare became my favorite way to end a stressful week. After much consideration, I left my job with the state and was thrilled to accept a full time position with City Dog! I’m so happy to be a part of the team and I look forward to spending time with all of the pups. Recently I was diagnosed with a Brain tumor and a condition called Functional Neurological Disorder. Still I make every day at City Dog fun, safe and special for our pups!

📣Fireworks can be stressful for our furry friends, but there are some things we can do to help them stay calm and safe!🐩❤️

- Create a cozy, quiet space in your home where your dog can retreat during the fireworks.
- Close windows and curtains to muffle the noise and block out flashes of light.
- Turn on some calming music or white noise to create a soothing environment.
- Ensure your dog has their favorite toys and blankets for comfort.
- Keep them indoors and never leave them unattended outside.
