If you were able to join us in Traverse City last week, thanks for your attendance and support! The 2023 auction program will prove to be one of the most successful programs the Chapter has ever offered! That, in large part, is due to your involvement and financial commitment and support! If you purchased an auction hunt, raffle tickets or items from the silent auction, it is our sincere hope that the item/s you purchased meets/exceeds your expectations!



Please note: None of the African Big Five animals that were offered individually during the 2023 Saturday auction program met the established reserve. As a result, those hunt items were not sold. The respective outfitters have indicated a willingness to reduce the reserves in an effort to sell those five individual hunts. If you bid any of those hunt, know someone who did bid one or more of the hunts or, if you have an in interest in any of those five hunts, please contact Mike Wilmot asap (248-755-7596). Several of the African Big Five hunts will sell for the backup bid offered from the floor during the auction – we just need to identify those individual bidders.



The Chapter has begun the planning process for the 2024 “Adventures Wild” auction program. Over twenty outfitters have already submitted completed hunt donor forms, the resort is contracted as are our auction staff. While we still have a tremendous amount of work to do, we anticipate that the 2024 program will draw as many or more participants from around North America as did the 2023 program. We want to make sure that our Chapter members and 2023 “Adventures Wild” participants have a first shot at sponsorships, hotel rooms and guaranteed ticket pricing at early bird rates.



If you know you want to attend the 2024 program, please respond to this Post now, (send message), (or, via email, at: [email protected]) and indicate if you want a hotel room in the Tower, the Hotel (renovations to the hotel rooms soon to be completed) or in one of the attached condos. Additionally, we need to know if you want tickets for all three nights -$300 each (February 29, March 1 & 2, 2024) or tickets for just one of the three nights. We will include your name on a list of people waiting for banquet tickets and hotel rooms. Payment is not required at this time. Rather, we will reach out to you after Labor Day to confirm your desired room reservation and ticket purchases. It will be at that time that we actually request payment for Banquet tickets. Hotel rooms will be charged when you check out after the 2024 event. The Grand Traverse Resort was completely sold out for our 2023 program. Several people had to secure rooms off the Grand Traverse Resort Campus. Don’t wait to express your interest in a room at the resort for 2024! Get added to the room request list now!
