✨NEEDS ADOPTION, FOSTER, OR RESCUE TAG✨
❤️Grendel A391770, 3yrs, 52lbs, Neutered Male, Heartworm Negative
Grendel has been in shelter for 291 days, he's currently our longest shelter resident! This lively boy sees the world as one big playground and thinks everything is a toy. If it fits in his mouth, it’s playtime! Grendel loves playing with toys and is also very treat motivated, he will kindly "sit" for a reward. Grendel does need some work on boundaries. When he gets overly excited, he can be mouthy, sometimes nipping at clothes or arms.
❤️Bitsy A402389, 3yrs, 11.6lbs, Spayed Female, Heartworm Negative
Bitsy is a small gal who came into the shelter terrified after being trapped in a field and is still very fearful of people. Right now, Bitsy prefers to stay as far away from humans as possible, often hiding in her kennel. If she feels cornered, she can become defensive and reactive, making it difficult for her to be handled. With the right environment and patience, there’s hope that Bitsy can begin to feel safe and start to come out of her shell.
❤️Nautica A399248, 5yrs, 43.6lbs, Spayed Female, Heartworm Positive
Nautica came to the shelter as a stray back in May. She is calm and gentle with people in the yard and walks well on a leash. She takes treats sweetly, knows sit, and enjoys affection. She has lived with other dogs for the majority of her stay in the shelter. However, she has had several scuffles with different kennel mates over her stay here and is now kenneled alone. This could be due to the stress of the shelter.
❤️Bronx A396487, 2yrs, 63lbs, Neutered Male, Heartworm Positive
Bronx is a sweet & gentle guy who loves cuddling in your lap. He loves treats, shares his kennel with another dog, and has the best smile. Unfortunately Bronx experiences possible seizures. In the play yard Bronx collapsed and began shaking, prompting concerns about seizure activity. The volunteer who was present reported the incident, and his temperature was measured at a concerning 104 degrees Fahrenheit. This episode is similar to one the he experienced approximately a month ago. Based on his age and reported episodes, a possible diagnosis of idiopathic epilepsy is suspected, although veterinary staff has not directly observed these episodes. We do not carry epilepsy medication, so placement for Bronx is urgent. We do not have a confirmed diagnosis.
