I completed Augie's Story detailing his struggle with Discospondylitis and the ongoing quest to address the urinary issues that arose after his initial adult vaccinations and rabies shot.
My hope is that sharing our story can help spare another pet parent and their family from experiencing similar devastation and heartache. 🥺

It’s been a very difficult couple weeks, I wasn’t ready to share this news with all of my friends and family through social media yet. ❤️‍🩹 Augie passed away on May 31st, 2024.
I want to thank everyone for loving my boy Augustine and supporting us through every step of his miraculous journey of recovery from Discospondylitis.

I’m currently in the process of finalizing my writing his story. I want to bring awareness to pet parents to prevent over vaccinations in animals and the devastation that manifests. In our case, years later our experience with Discospondylitis and even after Augie’s unbelievable fight for two and a half years, the urinary issues continued.

I’ll be setting up another gofundme to help with paying off Augie’s remaining ICU bill costs and donate any remaining costs to Southeast Veterinary of Neurology in Boynton Beach to help alleviate the financial stress to save another patient and their pet parent(s).
- Augie’s wheelchair, orthopedic beds, bedding and other supplies that helped my boy were donated after his passing to SeVN. ❤️‍🩹
- I hope to achieve and set up a program within my dog training business in the near future to educate and make caring for a newly handicapped dog less overwhelming. (I’ll definitely be sharing updates)

- Re;Treat has an active, running website with all of our services, FAQ, testimonials, contact info and a yearbook of past puppy students! The website is still under construction and more will be added soon! Take a look!

I’d like to introduce our newest addition who joined our family September 14th, 2022: Dante!! 🐶

Dante is about to be 5 months. He is a male sesame Shiba Inu! He will be my new assistant with Pawz of Love Dog Training.

Unfortunately due to Augie’s current condition, I have to retire him from working as Pawz of Love Dog Training’s Demonstration Dog.
Augie gets to enjoy being a spoiled retiree even though he was just as spoiled as a demonstration dog. 😁

We are so happy to share Augie’s astounding recovery and progress that he has made through this difficult journey of being diagnosed with such a severe case of Discospondylitis.
He has started to gain mobility in small amounts over the past month after being deemed deep pain negative paralyzed initially.
