We are looking for a part-time bather/kennel assistant. Must be 18 years or older and can work weekends and holidays.

Looking for a quick learner who is friendly, energetic, hard-working, can not be scared of dogs, and is willing to learn and be instructed by others.

To fully experience working at a grooming salon, you need to be patient, not mind loud noises, lots of hair flying around, getting wet, and dealing with smells that are sometimes not appealing.

I wanted to honor someone today! This is a girl that I bottle feed and got to be a healthy pup. I did kind of force her on a super sweet family almost 16 years ago. Today they had to put her to rest. She had a great family to take care of her and prayers to the family because 16 years is a good long time to spend with a family member who is almost always living on borrowed time. ST love and prayers are sent to you and your family. You will be missed!

(IPG), " April Ingram has successfully demonstrated her abilities and skills through testing and independent evaluation of the handling of pets during the grooming process. This certification is an earned recognition of safety knowledge, compassionate treatment, and humane handling of the pets in her care."

The CPG (Certified Professional Groomer) sets industry standards for pet and staff safety, health, sanitation, and Groomer ethics. Groomers will handle animals in their care in a safe and professional manner and demonstrate their basic "kennel trim" skills. This certification is awarded by our Independent Evaluators, setting these skilled professionals apart from other groomers and validating their qualifications and professionalism to the public.

The education and testing involved in the CPG meets and exceeds the standards created by the PPGSA (Professional Pet Groomers and Stylists Alliance), a grooming alliance of certifying agencies, educators, associations, industry leaders and other interested parties. PPGSA has created a living document, giving a foundational set of standards to ensure the safe care of pets in grooming salons through the education and certification process. It’s the little things that matter to someone who has a small business🌸

I know when we are scrolling through Facebook that we are just “satisfying” or curious minds as to what is going on with the world, friends, and family. But to a small business “just scrolling past their posts” actually hurts their exposure.

I often get told “I haven’t seen where you have posted anything” even if they follow my page.

Well, Facebook isn’t going to show you what you don’t “like” or don’t show interest in..that is how Facebook is set up..

It doesn’t take much time or cost any money to support a small business owner.. and simple like or share of a post is just like making a purchase from them.

Not only our small business but any small business you would want to buy from, shop at, or just enjoy their post doing these small things gets their name out there.

If you are an animal lover like me, then guess what? This month of March starts!!!!!

National Adopt a Guinea Pig Month!!!! What??? I didn't even know this existed. So excited for this.

In our brick-and-mortar facility, we do nail trims on many of these guys and have folks asking to find a home at times. These guys are so cute but are a responsibility that some may not know what they are getting into.

If you love one of them, you will love them all. Most are super sweet and cuddly. Do your research, and if these guys sound like a good fit for your home, go find a rescue instead of buying from a pet store. There are plenty of rescue guinea pigs that need homes.

Today is World Spay Day! What is this, you ask? It is the day that awareness is given of the importance of spaying your female dogs.

Not having your dog spayed at a reasonable age can lead to an infection of the uterus, called pyometra, which can cause your dog to get very ill or even lead to death.

It is a scary situation once you see the signs of pyrometria, and sometimes, once the signs appear, it can be too late. The infection is internal and usually brewing without any signs from your dog until she is very sick.

Now, let's not forget the guys in this. Just because it says Spay Day does not mean it is not essential for male dogs to get neutered. For those guys, it's important to know about testicular cancer.

Getting these procedures done helps prolong their life with us and reduces the reproduction of puppies. Yes, we all love puppies, but all rescues and shelters are overrun with dogs that have been turned in and can not find a home.

So, in short, not only are you saving your dog's life and prolonging the time you can spend with them, but also reducing the number of puppies and dogs who are homeless for long periods or never finding that forever home.
