The Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Kennel Attendant to join our team! This position will be responsible for the daily care for both cats and dogs. Hours consist of working around 40 hours a week, with every other weekend off. If you are interested in the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our community's homeless animals, please come by the shelter M-F 12:15pm-5pm or Saturday 9:30am-3pm to fill out an application!

CUTENESS ALERT! 👉 It's kitten season and we are LOADED with adorable kittens available to foster to adopt. We also have 2 community cat rooms full of snuggly kitties looking for their furrrever homes. Chill out this Saturday and come play with cats! Kitten season sounds delightful, but it's a stressful time for shelters. We can quickly become overrun with some of the most vulnerable members of the pet population. Kittens don't have a robust immune system yet, making them more susceptible to illness. Fostering and fostering to adopt is a great way to keep vulnerable kittens safe from picking up illnesses inside a shelter setting. We're open today from 9:30a-3p. Due to the extreme heat, no dog walking is allowed today.
If out and about and want to help with supplies, we'd love more Pine Pellets - Feline Pine Original cat litter or paper pellets and Purina One Kitten Formula Dry Food. Pine Pellets is our preferred choice of litter for kittens since the clumping clays can inadvertently be eaten. Come say hi!!
