After Basia and Marcin learned about Food Shed Co-op from their circle of local growers, farmers and gardeners, they decided to become co-op owners. We agree with their reasons for doing so. "We prefer sourcing our food locally and in-season whenever possible for its sustainability, superior nutritional value, shorter time and distance from the farm to our table, and local community support. We are looking forward to having a grocery store that is rooted in our local community and providing access to locally grown and locally made varieties of food products." Thank you everyone for a wonderful 2023 season! 🍄

It has been another great farmers market season and we would like to thank our loyal customers for their continued support! We also want to thank the local farmers and market partners that we worked with for providing our fresh mushrooms at their stands! Shout out to FulBuschel Farm and Produce, Trogg's Hollow and The Monarch Forest Garden!

While we grow mushrooms year around, we usually pause our mushroom production during this time of the year to perform some maintenance and upgrades to our grow room. We will keep you posted on when fresh mushrooms are available again (most likely sometime in December).

In the meantime, we have mushroom grow blocks in stock and available for purchase through our online store. Lion’s Mane and Blue Oyster grow bags now available.

While supplies last, we will include a FREE Blue Oysters grow block with a minimum purchase of 2 other blocks - so buy 2 blocks, get one Blue Oyster grow bag free.
