Rockin R Rides has been operated at Heritage Village one mile south of Crazy Horse Memorial or 3 miles north of Custer, SD on Hwy 385/16 since 2003 by owners, Peggy and Randy. We are open Memorial weekend thru Sept. Family friendly and cameras are welcome. A great way to see the beautiful Black Hills is from the back of a sure footed horse! What horses do on a rain day! It's going to be a cool week and some more rainy days are predicted. But the moisture does keep the Black Hills green and beautiful. Hope everyone had a Happy New Year and have weathered the recent cold as well as the horses! They are amazing in their ability to withstand the sub zero temps. A thick winter coat, lots of hay and protection from the wind and they do just fine. Not that we aren't all looking forward to the predicted warmer temps 😉

Rockin R horses, including Gus, received some great Masterson bodywork over the weekend by a wonderful group of students! They are feeling ready for another month of hitting the trails! We will be open through the first week of October. Call for a reservation to enjoy a ride this fall in the beautiful Black Hills!

Note - we will be closed September 2 and 3 to host and instruct a Masterson method seminar. Our hard working trail horses will be getting much needed bodywork as students learn some valuable Masterson method techniques to help horses feel better and move better!
