Well its that time of year again. We have been getting a lot of calls about what kind of riding we have here out of camp? Too put it simply in Layman's terms, WE LITERALLY HAVE WHAT EVER YOU DESIRE! As most know, we are bordered by the Forest Service which encompasses over 1.2 million acres. In addition, Custer State Park is only a short hop from camp with a trailer and has numerous trails to explore. If you are adventurous, you can carve your own path or follow a wildlife trail in addition to the marked trails available in the area. We have several repeat customers that stay with us for 1 to 2 months every year and they will tell you that the riding is endless. I am attaching a few photos of South Hell Canyon which I took today to give you an idea of the diverse riding opportunities. These pictures are West of Camp which is a little more open but gorgeous none the less. We still have a few openings for the season and look forward to your inquiries.

We would like to welcome Del and Shevawn Shields back to Hell Canyon Horse Camp May 22, 2024 through May 26, 2024. They will be shooting another episode for "The Best Of America By Horseback" which airs on RFD TV and The Cowboy Channel. We had a great time last year and look forward to another great time this year!

We have been getting a ton of callls asking if we are still open? Yes, we are open year around and the riding is excellent! We generally have good riding up until close to Christmas. Give us a call and we will coach you through the process. Our water lines and other utilities are buried 6 to 8’ deep and we live here year around !

Our Story

Circle K Horse Camp is surrounded by National Forest land for a unique Black Hills vacation experience. Besides our six full hook up RV sites, 6 fully furnished cabins, primitive camping, 24 horse pens, and a 120x220 outdoor riding area, we also offer an onsite farrier, and Tack and Feed store! Ride for hours exploring the surrounding trails, relax around the campfire, or check out one of the many local attractions. We're open year round!

Kevin and Michelle Klein, along with our children, have owned and operated Circle K Horse Camp since November 2016. We bring years of experience with many horse breeds as exhibitors, breeders, judges, trainers, and clinicians. Our children continue that dedication as 4H, Rodeo, and FFA members, and overall horse enthusiasts. We love raising our family in the Black Hills and are here to help make your vacation memorable!
