Omg mouse beans!!! Lonesome Dove popped out 9 for our first fancy mouse litter.

They're soooooo tiny. 2nd picture is a mouse bean next to a rat bean.

Came home and check on my babies only to discover...SURPRISE!

Shania is in the middle of giving birth.

Here's the kicker though. She was bred the same time as Martina but is delivering 3 weeks later!!

So far there's 11 little beans.

I had to put Ginger down this morning. We believe she had a stroke the other day and was not doing well.

She was a sweet girl. The drawback to loving rats is that they have such short lives.😪😪😪

My heart rat Tilde has an aggressive tumor. We had it removed in January but it has come back with a vengeance. Without testing, the doctor is pretty sure it's a highly aggressive malignant tumor that will be fatal.

Tilde was a feeder failure. She is the reason I became in love with having and breeding rats.

I am so saddened and crushed, but I knew that her life span was getting shorter as she is about 2yrs old already.

This is the sweetest, most lovable creature I have ever known and the thought of losing her just breaks me.

I will provide palliative care until the end and if needed, I will be the one to walk her to the Rainbow Bridge.

Sad discovery. We checked on Curly and she was unalive. I did an immediate c-section to save babies if possible but it turns out they weren't even ready to be born yet.

There were 13 sweet babies.

Sad day.
