Hi GA Friends - CSSSA staff (Lisa & Wendy) enjoyed the Spanish Barb Horse festival near Ron's ranch in Arizona (USA). We hope you enjoy photos they shared!

School staff (Lisa & Wendy) attended the Spanish Barb Horse festival (April 14, 2013) at Amerind in Dragoon, AZ. Spanish Barbs are genetically proven to be descendents of the horses first brought to the Americas by Old World Spanish explorers. Spanish Barbs are known for their compact build, sure-footedness, hardiness, calm demeanor, & intelligence. Almost extinct in Europe, these horses have survived in the Americas for five centuries! One of the foundation strains of Spanish Barbs - the Wilber-Cruce strain - was 'discovered' in Southeastern AZ.
