Necessity is the mother of invention!

Terry has kept pet lorikeets for 22 years and Jordan has jumped in with both feet a few years ago. We talked a lot about our birds and we were both frustrated with the diets we had tried. I asked a lorikeet breeder friend if she would sell me her food that she made for her own large flock of keets. She had plenty to do already and entrusted us to make her recipe. We made only a few changes at that time to make the product sellable to other lory lovers. The recipe has been consistent since the original formulation.

LoryNectar.com lorikeet diets has been around now for 4 years. We used the formula on our own birds for one year previously. Our birds had never looked so good. Shiny bright feathers, excellent coloration, and active happy lorikeets. We did this for the birds. We wanted the best food for our birds. It has been fun to watch our birds loving life and producing babies. There are so few of some lorikeet species in US aviculture.

The best part of the story is that our lorikeet diets have also been available to anybody who wants to try the best diet. The story isn’t over.....there will be more to come. Stay Tuned!
