Highlight of the Week
Bella and Tom
Bella came into my program a couple of years ago when Tom leased, then bought, this lovely mare to ride in lessons with me.
We have spent a lot of time working on relaxation and a softer connection. The pair is just starting solid first level work and working on jumping as well.
Last June, Tom almost lost Bella to a severe colic that required extensive surgery and recovery.
We have been bringing Bella back slowly and she is now ready, and very excited, to get back on track.
From rehab to tuneup to long term training, come see what Westway Equestrian can do for you and your horse!

Spartan and Brittney
I started working with Spartan about nine months ago when my student April bought him.
At the time, he was an extremely skinny and nervous guy. We moved him outside, started fixing his teeth, put him on the right supplements, had some chiropractor adjustments and put good shoes on him.
He is now teaching April and my student Brittney how to ride flying changes. We had to build up his back and strengthen him up, and he is now really starting to shine.
On Monday, April had me ride him and demonstrate how to correctly ride the change. I have to say, he feels so much stronger now and is finally relaxed about his work. I’m so proud of this off the track thoroughbred.
Come see what I can do for you and your horse. All levels welcome

Magnum and Molly in the Benson Carroll clinic
I started working with Magnum when his previous owner could no longer keep him. After teaching him ground manners and starting him under saddle, Molly's mom Stacey bought him for them both to ride in lessons with me. Magnum also has been half leased by another student of mine, and has really started to shine.
And, while Molly started with me, she has since gone on to be a top show rider. Thank you Molly for making Magnum looks so good. Not only did she ride beautifully, but she spent all morning pulling his mane.
I work with all types of horses, from Warmblood to rescue to everything in between. Come see what I can do for you and your horse!
Want your horse to move like this? Want to be able to ride like this during a spook?

Trainer Sandy Wehe on Westcott in 2017.
Sandy bought Westcott, a 1995 Oldenburg gelding, as a three year old Dressage prospect.
She then trained and rode him to several CDS championships and Reserve at the Nationals.
His soundness at 22 is testimony to our longevity program.
