"Super Blood Wolf" moon rising above the cornfield tonight. Hope I can stay awake for the eclipse! We're hoping for more snow this week and maybe a little less single-digit temps. But hey, we take what we get. :-) ❄️⛄️

There would be pictures of the first summer squash harvested today...however they became supper with the first green onions. And they were delicious!
Fortunately, the radishes are being saved for someone else to enjoy.

The big garden is looking pretty good! The sweet corn is right on track. We even have a guardian who loves to show off his gorgeous tail feathers and Cliffy, our cat food-stealing c**n.

Wish we were done with storm clean-up. Dragged up two more trees today myself. Have several others to trim up. Spent lots of quality time with my John Deere. :-)

07/14/2017

The trees at the farm didn't fare so well this week. Looks like we're going to spend some quality time with a chainsaw. If every storm would quit including 70 mph winds....

07/06/2017

It has been a quiet year, unfortunately, as we deal with some health issues. But the deer, turkeys and groundhogs appreciate the solitude. 😀 We will try to post pics, but the critters are pretty camera shy.

Mother Nature has been a little mean to us this week. Hopefully the next time she gives us nice, sunny 65+ degree weather, she won't take it back so soon.

Whew, starting to win the war against the weeds. They love these rainy days. And finally realized that the "weeds" I've been trying to kill for the past few years are actually Grandpa Miller's horseradish. These plants are tough as hell to make it through years of plowing, spraying, hoeing and mowing- they're gorgeous.

Spring is nearly here! After the whirlwind that was 2015, we're hoping 2016 is a little more laid-back.

Started seedlings today. Didn't want to start with too many since it's still pretty early.
