Jumpin Jack Flash is home. He lost a LOT of weight, but they could only feed him very small amounts after fasting him so his colon could heal. It will take a long time to get weight back on him, but Littleton Equine is the best place ever!

Jumpin Jack Flash is on his way home today. It will be quite a recuperation period for him, which will be hard on him being confined to a stall for a couple of months. That is not how the boy rolls at all! He may get three times in the walker per day, if he behaves himself. Otherwise, only hand walking. I do wish we knew what caused the blockages in his colon, but no idea. I hate unknowns. Thanks for your prayers and kind words.

It has been a rugged week. Last Saturday, Jumpin Jack Flash colicked mid day with a low grade fever. We gave banamine, got the vet out, and he rebounded, even to playing with his sibling and cousin. We all kept a good eye on him. He was fine at 7 when Faith left. We went down on coming back from dinner and he was down. Long story short, he was transported at midnight the 8 hours to Littleton Equine Hospital for treatment and possible surgery. (thanks Faith and Jenny) Mid afternoon Sunday he took a turn for the worse and went into a several hour surgery. He had two impactions in his large and small colon. No twisted gut. The incredible surgical team got him cleared and he came out of surgery well. He is doing quite well, but has the same low grade fever. He is showing negative on all tests, but we are waiting on the salmonella culture. He has figured out how to tear up the flooring in ICU and eat a hole in a wall...while wearing a grazing muzzle to limit him to soft mashes and keep him from eating any shavings. Please pray for him. We need to find out what is causing the fever and hopefully what caused the colic.He is kind of one of our favorites. He is my sister, Lynette's, baby. He was born at the Littleton Equine Hospital, where he is now, and Lynette, battling ovarian cancer at the time, faithfully went and "mothered him" there, because she lived nearby. My heart will always connect the two.

Last mare due to foal is playing this out to the nth degree. She has been waxed for 8 or 9 days, given us all the labor signs every night, and then,,,NUTHINNNNN!!!!!!! She will be bred to a donkey next year. I am done getting played and getting no sleep. Donkey for you, princess!

Bravo 1 (Bravissimo) has won my heart. I love this big little boy. He will make someone's dreams of dressage or eventing come true. He will be big, I think, around 15 +hh. We will DNA test. He is offered for sale at weaning. If you are in the search for a really athletic, typey, great producing c**t to make a performance and breeding stallion...this may be the one to take a good look at. I love him!

Amanda Frazier produced two show stoppers this spring out of Castleberrys Ffrangipani and R Pippi Longstocking. Both are by MHS Cool Jazz and both are going up this fall to Canada with Jen Robertson.

MHS Bravissimo has arrived at last! MHS Bellissimo and *Taraco Dragonfly have a huge leggy c**t! Huge! But he was 9 days late. He has all the ingredients for making a fantastic welsh cob…* Minyffordd Megastar LOM LOM, *Tiefi Judy Jazz, Dimbeth Sion, Gwenllan Tirion, *Trefaes Belladonna, Danaway Flash Jack, and the list goes on and on. We are expecting exceptional movement from this big guy. I can’t wait to get home and get my hands on him and MHS Real Jazz, who was born a few days ago.

MHS Jumpin Jack Flash, Welsh Cob c**t, who will be 2 in June. Gwynfaes Culhwch x MHS All That Jazz (*Minyffordd Megastar x *Teifi Judy Jazz x Dimbeth Sion) So canter and lead changes were his forte yesterday. We got a little trot, but a very relaxed one. His canter and walk are exceptional (and his trot usually is). He is offered for purchase to a performance and hopefully breeding home. It breaks our hearts to part with this one, but he needs a life in the spotlight. We think he is well suited to dressage, eventing, and maybe even Hunter. Driving definitely. He will be 14 hands to 14 one hands. Please pm me for details. I am hesitating even now pressing the post button.

Almost 2 year old filly, MHS Black Velvet. MHS Rhythm and Blues x *Trefaes Velvet Royale. Again, furry and right out of the pasture. Please remember she is two and still in her butt high stage. We think she will be much like her sister, MHS Easter Lily. Black Velvet is homozygous black.

This is 3 year old MHS Meadowhawk. MHS Cool Jazz x *Taraco Dragonfly x Danaway Flash Jack. Furry and right out of the pasture. This girl is super confident and chill. She should be 15hh or more. Offered for sale open or in foal to one of our stallions here at MHS. LFG.

Todd and I were Chillaxing by the she shed watching the horses play this morning. These two yearling colts had been running for about 15 minutes and I finally decided to catch a little bit of it. The dark bay is MHS thunder and lightning. The chestnut is MHS Gwyn Taliesin. They are both by Gwynfaes Culhwch and out of full sisters MHS, Jazzmatazz and MHS Gypsy Jazz. Think razzmatazz and gypsy dancer. That’s who they essentially are in temperament, conformation, and movement. Both are offered for sale.
