The weather is warming up, so we have a few important tips to help you keep your pets safe from the heat this summer!

🚫🏃🐕 No heavily exercising pets
🚫🐶🚗 No parked cars
🚫🔥🐾 No paws on hot surfaces

✅✋ Do test surface temp w/ your bare hand
✅🐕🚶‍♂️Do go for a short, evenly-paced walk during cooler hours

Tomorrow is Megan’s last day with us.

Megan worked with us as an assistant while attending UWEC for her undergraduate degree. She will be headed home for the summer and then will be attending the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Veterinary Medicine this fall.

We will miss her but are so proud of her and her accomplishments while working with us!

It's that time of year again.
The gnats are HORRIBLE this year! Who knew a tiny bug could leave such a nasty welt on your dogs belly. We have been receiving a lot of phone calls about these welts. They are nothing to worry about and usually go away in a few days and besides being a little itchy they shouldn't become a problem! However if they are not going away after a few days or become swollen and irritated give us a call!

UPDATE!! Otis has been found!

Chippewa Falls/Tilden area clients please be on the lookout for this German Shorthaired Pointer! He is young and VERY friendly. His family misses him dearly! His name is Otis and usually comes when called.

With the warm temps and no snow on the ground we are seeing a lot of animals come in with fleas and ticks! They are taking full advantage of this warm weather. Make sure you are keeping up to date with flea and tick preventative and heartworm preventative. This is the best way to keep your pet protected! If you need a refill of any of these medications please call the clinic or stop in and talk to one of the receptionists.
