My little break unexpectedly turned into 7 almost 8 months, but Loca a home grown gave me her first litter of 4 fat and healthy torts. Now waiting on another home grown who's due on the 1st.

Dewi says it's time to relax from all the hard work of a handsome show bunny.

Had a great time in stillwater with two of my lilacs placing best and best opposite variety on both days,and all of my dutch friends enjoyed looking at my little herd and got great comments from them.
My torts did well also, sadly I was the only one this time but I got some great feedback.

Both are more brood type but Violet has clean markings so can be shown. While Lavender is brood only due to a spot on her underside.

Lilac Jr's still available. I have also made the difficult decision on letting one of my main tort herd bucks go in order to bring new stock in. He has done well in his show career with many bov and bosv and was in the top ten for sr tort bucks at this years National Dutch show.

Malocclusion of the incisors on a 5 week old kit due do improper jaw alignment.
Decided to go ahead and cull early as I did not see it worth living a decent life for the next couple months, and after a closer inspection this rabbit was getting a infection.

I will be doing a couple test breedings on the dam to see if it is coming directly from her or just a fluke thing, since there is no known history of this genitic deformity in either parents and the other kits sired by the same buck are perfectly fine.

Just hit 4 months and boy is she gorgeous. GV Zippos three strikes and survived aka Trouble, out of a tort and grey paring. Her dam was constantly throwing out of wack markings so decide to focus on just type with her last litter and she's my first ever black so I just had to keep her around.

Went to my first National Dutch show this weekend and had a great time. Got my first pair of lilacs and I'm so excited to work with this new variety, I also bought a new tort buck and I'm excited to see what the next generations become.

Out of 7 rabbits that I took two of my home bred Dutch (first and second generation)got in the top ten out of a huge class in the tort variety ,both father and daughter placed 6th. To me that is a win that I absolutely did not expect to happen.

Well one's not like the others lol. Not sure on the exact odds of getting a black but definitely a pretty low chance with a mostly tort pedigree with no knowledge of black in either tort and grey parents. Sadly can't be shown due to having a tied elbow but I'm hoping this little girl will be a nice addition to my breeding program.

Just couldn't wait to check these guys out. Finally had my first litter out of Rain been waiting a year for the right time. She had 6 born a week before Thanksgiving.

And little miss Wednesday is becoming a nice little doe.

Had a great show last weekend in Okemah and brought some new guys into the herd. Added a chocolate dutch buck to breed with my tort girls and to hopefully start a lilac program, aswell a new little doeling. Definitely excited to see the outcomes with these guys. Already bred the new guy with one of my does so fingers crossed I'll get some nice babies out of them.

I guess you can say I've been MIA for a bit. Life has been busy and college classes have started up again. Nothing much going on currently with the rabbitry but I do have a few updates... I have kept my breeding short this year with one litter of polish and a litter of meat rabbits, but I'm ending the year with hopfully a couple of litters of dutch and plan on taking my pick of the litter/litters to my first Dutch Nationals in Kansas this coming spring. On another note I picked up a young American Chinchilla buck whom I'm planning to use in my meat program.

I have decided I want to start focusing more on my dwarf hotot and polish programs. With that being said I've decided to keep only few dutch to continue showing and occasionally breed. These dutch will be going in pairs *will not separate*.
All are proven and most are shown... Willow has had three litters and all live kits ( last litter born was in April). Lady was a first time dam this year and had a litter of 6 all live aswell (litter born in June).
(Photos will have who each is paired with.)

Last photos are rescent kits from lady and Willow from the same pairings (resfrance only).

Last weekends show was a blast! I was so happy there was another tort breeder showing, so I actually had some competition. Fall got best opposite in his variety and I brought home a new doe. I am very excited to breed her next year and see what results I get out of the kits.

Last one of Small Lady's kits needing a new address. Grey dutch buck, brood/ pet . Good type and color just not markings😔. Love this boy and wish I could keep him but I already have to many bucks in my herd.

I've decided to hold back my best kit I've produced so far from Pluto so he's now looking to help another herd. Half pedigreed located in Edmond Oklahoma. He's gotten BOV at just about every show I've entered in. Will take him to El Dorado this weekend with me.
