Sharing a few HORSE UPDATES today! Emmett, our oldest school horse, has moved to Arizona for a well-deserved retirement, where he's enjoying sunny skies and warmer temps. We're continuing to ride here in Cordillera--in the sunshine...and out in the snow. Here are a few recent photos of Cinnamon, one of our loyal lesson horses, out on the trail after last week's storm.

We wish you a joy-filled Thanksgiving holiday! The Cordillera Metro District admin offices will be CLOSED Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28–29. We look forward to being back in action on Monday, December 2! As a reminder, Thanksgiving is a no-work holiday. Work access *will NOT* be allowed between 5:30 PM on Wednesday, November 27, and 7:30 AM on Friday, November 29. Work *WILL* be allowed Friday, November 29, and Saturday, November 30.

A big SHOUTOUT to Dolly Hannon Dressage and a special THANK YOU to all who made our clinic with Dolly this past weekend simply amazing. This clinic was the third and final clinic of our fall season. We're looking forward to putting all that we have learned into practice throughout the winter season.

Meet POLLY, the CEC's newest addition. For a barn cat, she's pretty crafty. Polly loves to jump on the shoulders of those who pass by, so be on the lookout for her, and be ready when she decides to pounce. She's even super friendly with the horses and has been known to hop on for a ride. Welcome, Polly!

HAPPY FEET: For the past few weeks, stall upgrades have been underway at the CEC! Stall mats are being upgraded to a deep bedding for horse comfort and other benefits including cost savings and labor reduction. Stalls are also being cleaned and stained, and the bars are being painted to match new hardware. Come by and check it out!

While we're enjoying fall riding here at the CEC, show season is over for Cordillera Equestrian Center Manager Annie Morris and her horse Flor. Annie was honored to have the support of the Cordillera Community to take her horse to a few shows this year, qualifying for and competing in championships. Flor has had challenges after losing her eye to illness, and getting back into showing has been a steppingstone to continuing her journey toward dressage excellence. Congrats Annie and Flor!
