Henry and his not-so-little sister, Remy, had a great time sharing some cheese and attention from their biggest fans during their appointment today! Henry is the cutest shih tzu mix who always turns heads when he comes in. He has the sweetest personality and is always welcomed with open arms! Remy, the golden retriever puppy, is growing so quickly and can’t help but ask for seconds of the squeez cheez for her puppy vaccines! 💕🧀

P.S.A. ‼️‼️‼️⚠️⚠️⚠️

We all know that cats LOVE to play with string.

At the vet office, we ALWAYS recommend play time be supervised as much as possible. Of course there is always those one offs, like this sweet kitty here.

This kitty had eaten a piece of thread, and the owners found it hanging out of her mouth, so they removed it. Unbeknownst to them at the time, she had also eaten the attached needle and beading project! She started gagging and vomited a few times afterwards, and they noticed blood in the vomit. At the rDVM, they identified two thin metal objects within her head. She was brought to our clinic and, under anesthesia, we removed half of the needle from the back of her throat. The other half was not visible, as it was resting on top of her hard and soft palate, so we had to surgically remove it. She is now resting and recovering comfortably at home, and the owners immediately went out to buy kitty-proof storage containers for their sewing projects.
