Hello, everyone!
My name is Abigail, and I am a house/petsitter! I am currently looking for house/petsitting jobs in 2024! My schedule is already starting to fill up, but I'm actively looking for new clients to fill it up all the way! My goal is to be petsitting full-time by 2025.
I currently have experience with dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, bunnies, fish, cows, goats, chickens, and geckos. I have some experience with horses but am not able to help with training regimens or anything like that at this time. I would love to get some more experience with reptiles, birds, and horses!! I do not provide care for spiders at this time.
I have about a decade of experience, most of which is with dogs, as most of my clients have dogs and I was in dog 4-H for 8ish years. I trained, led training practices, and worked individually with handler/dog pairs during my time in 4-H, as well as competing at county and state levels.
I am transitioning over from house/petsitting part-time to full-time. Because of that, I've been doing research and have found that I've been severely undercharging clients, which is fine when it's friends and family but not a good business model, as my time is limited (there are only 24 hours in the day, after all!).
Therefore, my prices may not be as low as, say, your next-door neighbor or a teenager looking to pick up a little extra cash. However, you are paying for a dependable, dedicated housesitter to come and care for your pets as if they were my own. I understand that pets are members of the family and farm animals are investments, and as such, I will provide them with excellent care, so you can have the peace of mind you deserve while you're away.
My current MINIMUM rates are as follows.
$20/visit - check-ins for cats and other small animals that don't need supervised outside time/exercise or much involvement
$30/hr - chicken chores
$30/hr - check-ins and chores for cows/horses/goats/sheep
$25/visit - check-ins for cats and other small animals that do need supervised outside time/exercise or a fair amount of involvement
$25/visit (or walk) - dog walks/check-ins under 30 minutes (price for more dogs dependant on several factors).
$30/visit or $30/hour - dog check-ins/walks over 30 minutes (price for more dogs dependant on several factors)
$50/night - housesitting with no pets
$75/day - housesitting with 1 cat/dog/small animal, +$10/day per additional cat/dog/small animal (teensy animals negotiable).
All totals for overnight/all day stays will have an additional amount for grocery costs. This will be in the form of a per week or per trip cost and not a daily cost.
If you live outside of Enumclaw, WA, prices will go up. If your pets have special needs or require extra care, prices will go up. I reserve the right to charge more than the listed prices.
A new addition to my services in 2024 will be working with my clients to draw up a services agreement so that neither my clients nor I have any surprises.
