I also will list my things for sale at times because it's getting hard to pay vet bills on Social Security In the twilight of my life I am living on my lovely 8 acres with what’s left of my little stray cat family (which includes a Shetland Sheep Dog named Jamie who herds the cats and thinks he is one sometimes). I have had cats all my life, all strays, and over the years have learned quite a bit
about cat behaviour (mostly the hard way, lol) and would love to share what I know with anyone who would like to know more about their cat kids, why they do what they do, what they like and don’t like, and perhaps how to train them. I have opinions on food, litter, and vet care. I even have a couple of children’s stories I wrote about two of my special fur kids that I may put on here, and am looking for perhaps an art student to the illustrations for the stories. What Stray Cat Cottage is NOT is a place to bring any stray cats you might have found. There are great animal shelters out there (and some not so great) that may be able to help you, but I can’t. However, if a stray cat has found you, maybe there’s a good reason for that, and you might find a best friend and companion for life has come to your doorstep to make you smile with her antics, to allow you to care for and love one of God’s perfect little ones, and have a purring companion on your bed at night. I can give some pointers on bringing a new cat into your life, and how to integrate another cat into a household that already has cats. That’s not always easy, and does require some thought, but it can be done. I hope you enjoy my pages, my stories, and can feel the love and gracious companionship my fur kids have brought to me, and how much I miss the ones who have gone on to await me at the Rainbow Bridge. Thanks, peace and purrs,
Marji
