Today, we're introducing a new pet portal to help make it easier for you to access your pets' health information, communicate with us, and even schdule wellness appointments.

The online pet portal allows you to have quick and easy access to see upcoming appointments, upcoming reminders and lets you request refills for prescriptions.

In addition, you have the ability to schedule appointments online through the pet portal. Utilizing our online scheduling allows you to schedule your pet(s) next visit with us no matter the time of day.

That is right, you can book an appointment for your pet(s) without having to pick up the phone!

You should be receiving an email with information on how to sign up and use the program soon. Please also be patient with us as we integrate the new program with our existing system.

Check out the following Thanksgiving pet-safety tips from our experts at the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) for a fulfilling Thanksgiving that your pets can enjoy, too!

It can be difficult to know where to look when trying to find veterinary information online. We generally don't recommend "Dr. Google" since there is a lot of misinformation out there.
The best plan is to ask us, since care for every pet is different, and your pet may have specific needs that we can help with.
But if you are looking for general information, we recommend going to Veterinary Partner - their articles are reviewed regularly by veterinarians.

Sometimes, as our pets age, their eyes may start to look cloudy. Cataracts are one of the more common reasons for an eye to appear cloudy, but it's important to have your pet seen by the veterinarian to determine where and why the eye is cloudy, and what we may be able to do to help your pet's vision as they age.

Kidney disease is one of the common ailments we see in our older pets. Although more common in cats, we also see it in dogs. The kidney does a lot of work in the body, from helping to remove toxins, to maintaining hydration, blood pressure, and red blood cell production.
We recommend regular blood and urine screening as your pet gets older, to determine the health of their kidneys and if they need supportive care to keep them healthy longer.

Remember - it's hunting season. Not only should bipeds be wearing the proper orange attire, but your friendly neighborhood quadrupeds should be outfitted as well!

Our cats' health and needs change as they age, and it's good to know which changes are normal, and which changes may mean that a trip to see the veterinarian is in order. We do recommend seeing older cats a little more often than younger cats, as changes can sometimes happen rapidly, and the sooner we can find out about an issue, the more we can do to help! https://tinyurl.com/5kkm8yph
