When my 14 yr old (adopted at 6 mos) neuf/lab mix, Harley, became increasingly weak from hip dysplasia, I was devastated. All parts of him wanted to keep going but his rear legs were not cooperating. Faced with the possibility of putting him down, I turned to alternative modalities and discovered the miracle of Swim Therapy. He slowly came back to life with just one twenty minute swim a few times
a week. Harley was like a young dog once again...he climbed the stairs to our bedroom every night until the day before he died (of something unrelated) at the ripe old age of 16. Swimming gave me and my beautiful dog 2 more very special years together...years that we almost didn't have. I started PUMA'S (my current dog) POOL4PAWZ so local dogs and their owners could experience the benefits (& miracles) of Swim Therapy. Now when the beach is closed to dogs every year, they can still exercise, have fun in the sun & jump in the water and play their favorite game of Fetch. Whether for fitness, fun or therapy, we are here to welcome you and your best friend seasonally 7 days a week by appointment only.
