Thank you everyone for voting our next launch of herbal skincare products 🐾🌱 Did you know that I am a certified canine herbalist? I spent the better part of 2019-2020 absorbing so much info from my courses so that I can offer your dogs clean, safe, holistic, and therapeutic skin care products. I specialize in allergy prone skin issues although I enjoy creating products for all types of problem areas.

Based on your votes, our new skincare line will include:

I will expand the line of products as I ease back into a full-time position with Farm to Treat.

Hey friends — I miss all of you!! I am packing up for an upcoming move and found my box of Trial & Error Treats. This bag of churro dog treats was made in November of last year. No mold. When I opened them, they smelled fresh and like ginger and cinnamon 🥖 Still crispy when broken. My recipe and the date are written on the back for my notes. Creating a healthy and delicious dog treat that is shelf stable is so tricky. I have 15 bags of different treats I’ve stored away with lots of notes on how they were baked and naturally preserved. I’ve been “away” for most of this year. The positive outcome on this little bag of treats has given my some inspiration to get back at it.

By the middle of September I’ll be keeping a regular stock of treats and growing my wholesale range. Can’t wait to see fresh new pictures of your dogs enjoying their Farm to Treat again🐾

Growth and change. Launching forward and scaling back. Honing in on the skills I have learned to be resourceful, creative, and a leader. Learning to accept defeat and not let it turn into failure. All of these things have been part of owning, running, and sustaining Farm to Treat as a successful micro business.

Moving forward there will be changes to the way Farm to Treat operates and stays active in this dog-loving community.

• We will no longer be shipping products. The cost of shipping has risen more than 50% in the past two years. Last week it cost $17 to ship a 3oz package to Mobile, from Fairhope. There was only $9 worth of treats inside. To ship to north Alabama can cost $22+

• Farm to Treat will not be accepting custom cookie orders going forward. The cost of several of our most loved ingredients had sky rocketed. I would have to charge 15% more on each bag to cover the costs.

• We are be discontinuing standard markets and events. Farm to Treat will continue to be a vendor at dog themed parties, events, and markets. The cost of market fees as risen considerably. In the past we could book an event for $30 and now most are $75-100. I have loved being a part of so many craft fairs, farmers markets, and events the past two years. In the past year the local “homemade dog treat” industry has become over saturated. Healthy competition can be very positive; the problem is that dog treats are such a niche product it’s hard to justify having two or more dog treat vendors at one event.

• I am rebranding Farm to Treat to be wholesale based. I will continue growing our retail market and keeping a fresh stock of treats in your favorite local stores and shops.

• I am going back to focusing on herbal skincare for dogs. This  is something that I am very passionate about; I know that there is a need for clean, holistic, and reputable skincare for dogs with itchy, irritated, and allergy prone skin issues.

• I am going to specialize in cakes and pastries for special occasions: birthdays, adoption days, celebration of life, etc. One of my favorite parts of Farm to Treat is creating one of a kind special occasion treats for your dogs!

I’m excited about this new season for Farm to Treat 💚 Adapting to the world we live in and doing what’s best for myself and my family means that we have a lot of new things to look forward to at Farm to Treat 🐾

Hey y’all! I’ve been making and serving out fun treats and birthday cakes for your dogs for a little over 2 years now!

Along with the everyday snacks, your dogs have also loved (and been thankful for) those calming treats during high-stress events: New Years parties, 4th of July, long road trips, hurricanes, and more.

Due to the limited supply of organic oils I use in the calming treats, I haven’t been able to keep them fully stocked in retail stores. I’ve reserved a few bottles so your dog can have calming treats during the fireworks of the 4th!
