Kathy is just a stunning, nicely developed horse. She moves as pretty as she looks, and rides very nicely w/t/c. Easily gets both leads. She will ride English or western with a neck rein. Sound and up for any challenge! She really enjoys having a job.
Kathy has a lot of experience on trails, overnight camping and horse shows of all kind. She has won blue ribbons in hunter, equitation, and dressage classes, as well as money and buckles in games against horses of all breeds. She has speed but only when asked.
She has not been hitched in a while, but was always nice to drive.
Kathy is looking for a new home because her current adopter’s health issues have left her unable to ride and she does not want to see her go to waste. Kathy sat for several months but stepped right back into work with no problems and is finishing up her refresher course.
Kathy’s only “vice” is she has strong heats. This does not affect her temperament to ride or handle, but she will try to lean on you when you press on her hindquarters, or pick up her back feet. She might also try to pee on you if you’re messing around back there 😂 it is not malicious she is just feeling very fertile. Regumate helps with this. Personally, we don’t find the behavior too troublesome so she is currently not on anything, but if you don’t want to deal with that, regumate works wonders.
Would really love to see Kathy with someone who will get her out there showing as she competes very well in open breed competition and would be a great ambassador for the breed.

A true STEADY EDDIE! 🤩
TWIN B EAGLE aka “Big Eddie” is big at 17.1hh, but don’t let that scare you! This 6 year old gelding is truly one of the kindest, quietest horses to come through here!
He is a pleasure to have in the barn, with a fun, goofy personality but also has excellent manners. He’s a very friendly horse in turnout as well, causing no drama. He’s currently sharing a fenceline with a mare with no issues, and turned out with another gelding and a colt. He does enjoy someone who will play with him!
Eddie has been a ✨ SUPERSTAR ✨ in his new career under saddle. Since day 1 he has just been so quiet, willing, and so so smart! He picks up new skills very quickly with a great attitude. He is definitely more woah than go, and nothing really bothers him: not running foals right next to him, ATVs, wildlife, having to leave his friends—he hacks along anywhere on the farm.
Just can’t say enough nice things about this boy! He would be amazing in a dressage career with the way he holds himself, but would also suit trails or any other sort of primarily flatwork discipline—even a husband type horse! He has a healed and rehabbed knee fracture that he has been doing just fine working on with no maintenance. He could likely do some LIGHT jumping but may need maintenance for that down the line.
This amazing gelding is going to make someone an amazing friend and partner and is available for #adoption
He’s a STEADY EDDIE for sure 🤣
TWIN B EAGLE aka “Big Eddie” is a gentle giant! This 6yr old gelding is 17.1hh! But don’t let that scare you, he is very kind and quiet to handle. Today was his very first ride and he was extremely agreeable and eager to please! He has a very calm demeanor, as you can tell by how he ignored the running child in the background 😂 We even rode Eddie to the back by the woods and he was super! A bunch of deer ran out at him and all he did was flinch a bit.
Eddie is a very attractive horse and a nice mover as well! He has a rehabbed knee fracture but should be just fine for flatwork careers, possibly low level jumping as well with some maintenance if needed. He is a friendly horse that loves to play, and is currently turned out with another gelding and a yearling colt. Just can’t say enough nice things about him!

Celestia is home!
CELESTIA A is home from the clinic! She came through her surgery very well. Her comfort levels are much improved. She will stand squarely on her leg and will also walk on it. It’s funny though, because she was on 3 legs so long she got really good at it so when she wants to get somewhere fast she will go back to hopping 😂
Celia will be on strict stall rest then I will bring her back to the clinic around May 15 to get check up x rays and a new cast put on. It will likely be 6-8 weeks before her joint finishes fusing, but then she will be much more comfortable. Keep your fingers crossed the rest of recovery goes well! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 Can’t thank everyone at the Hogan Equine Clinic enough for helping us give her a fighting chance at a happy life ❤️

CELESTIA A continues to make progress! Her vets are very pleased with her progress and she is maintaining a much improved comfort level. As long as she maintains this throughout the day, they will likely do surgery tomorrow and put screws in her ankle to further stabilize the joint. Keep sending her the good vibes!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻❤️
Great news from the clinic!! Celestia has responded incredibly well to her cast!! She is able to walk comfortably for the first time in months!! It brings me to tears 🥹 she is being a very good patient.
She will remain in the cast for several days while they prepare her surgery plan. But this is a great sign as it shows her severe lameness is from joint instability which they can do quite a bit to fix!

SUCCESSION’s first time in the marathon cart in his adoptive home! Such a good boy! This young man has gone from racehorse, to riding horse, and now is learning to be a combined driving horse! Standardbreds are so versatile!

FALCON’S LUKE has been hard at work under saddle! This guy’s retraining has been going super well—he is a natural! Luke has recently started cantering with a rider and will do a few strides both leads! He is so calm and willing and a wonderful horse for #adoption! 🤩

Snappy Western
OH SNAP took a spin western today! This is only her 4th ride ever and she has come along so much! Still figuring out her balance here and there as a young horse, but she is very smart and picks up new skills quickly. She has a great work ethic with a stellar attitude and focus especially for a young horse. Snappy is very calm and quiet, with comfy gaits, and often rides in just a halter! She is not a very spooky horse.
At just 3yrs old with a chunky build and 14.2hh, Snappy is a great prospect for anything, but we think she could really excel in western dressage!

Boltman first ride
It’s official! BOLTMAN is now a riding horse! 🤩 He accepted a riders weight quite readily! Of course, he was a little nervous at first once things got moving, but no malice, and then he quickly settled and gained his confidence. He has a lovely stop!
