DANDY’S SUSHI
Some video of DANDY’S SUSHI 🍣🍱 what a lovely young man! Sushi is a 5yr old gelding standing about 15.2 hands. He’s compact and a nice mover who naturally carries himself well. Sushi has no problem trotting over poles, has a great halt to him, and is a bit more whoa than go. This sweet boy is available for #adoption ❤️
HOLY GRAIL N update! It’s been about 2 weeks since he got his new shoes and things are looking good. His ankle, while still not pretty, is looking less enlarged, and he is definitely more comfortable getting around! Hopefully he keeps improving and can enjoy many more years of well deserved retirement and being a pet 🙏🏻❤️
HOLY GRAIL N “Nugget” got a cast change today and some sunshine. While still a long ways to go it has definitely improved his comfort a lot and he was happy to see the outside world and have some bites of grass. After talking with the vet and farrier I’m going to add some more vetwrap/padding over his pastern area to further support the fetlock. He has his appointment with the specialist farrier this coming Tuesday! Hopefully we can get him even more support and relief 🙏🏻
Despite everything he has been through and is dealing with, he is improving. He arrived very thin, and obviously with an injury like this and the stress on his body, we have to keep him thin. But the fungus and body sores he had on him when he arrived have cleared up, and he’s getting a nice shine to his coat, even some dapples 🥹
It was such a beautiful day, I’m glad he got to enjoy it a bit. Hopefully we can get him to a point he can go out in a field and enjoy the nice weather. Even if it’s just for a little bit 🤞🏻❤️
This is where we are at with HOLY GRAIL N aka Nugget. Spoke with specialist farrier today. We are going to put a supportive bandage/soft cast on for the next few days as a big portion of his pain is when the fetlock drops—with the sesamoid and soft tissue damage there’s nothing to anchor it. That will give him more support and hopefully make him more comfortable and Monday we’ll see where we are and schedule a shoeing appointment for next week and apply some supportive shoeing. If he can’t bear any weight on the injured limb we will bring him to a facility with a sling to finish the job, as his toes are very long and he’s rocking back too far and the toe is coming up off the ground on the uninjured forelimb. We will do what we can and then it is up to him and fate what will happen. He has improved slightly since he arrived however, as he will put some weight on the leg, but we have to keep an eye on foundering in the opposite limb. Keep him in your thoughts 🤞🏻
BLUEBIRD JESSE is feeling good and continuing to make progress in his rehab! This classy warhorse broke a sesamoid a few months ago and was struggling for a while, but has finally made it over the hump! He is a tough cookie. So good to see him feeling good finally ❤️ just a few more weeks and he can start turnout! Good job Jesse 😁

KATHY’S CHAMP

Kathy is just a stunning, nicely developed horse. She moves as pretty as she looks, and rides very nicely w/t/c. Easily gets both leads. She will ride English or western with a neck rein. Sound and up for any challenge! She really enjoys having a job.
Kathy has a lot of experience on trails, overnight camping and horse shows of all kind. She has won blue ribbons in hunter, equitation, and dressage classes, as well as money and buckles in games against horses of all breeds. She has speed but only when asked.
She has not been hitched in a while, but was always nice to drive.
Kathy is looking for a new home because her current adopter’s health issues have left her unable to ride and she does not want to see her go to waste. Kathy sat for several months but stepped right back into work with no problems and is finishing up her refresher course.
Kathy’s only “vice” is she has strong heats. This does not affect her temperament to ride or handle, but she will try to lean on you when you press on her hindquarters, or pick up her back feet. She might also try to pee on you if you’re messing around back there 😂 it is not malicious she is just feeling very fertile. Regumate helps with this. Personally, we don’t find the behavior too troublesome so she is currently not on anything, but if you don’t want to deal with that, regumate works wonders.
Would really love to see Kathy with someone who will get her out there showing as she competes very well in open breed competition and would be a great ambassador for the breed.
