Amber's Playground is very proud to announce that we are teaming up with Barrington Animal Hospital! 🥳 Coming this September, BAH will be expanding their services to daycare, boarding, grooming, and training! 🤩🦴 Along with AP's training, I will be managing all of the newly offered services. Finn the Springerdoodle typically becomes very nervous and alert in new environments. 😬 The "strange" people, dogs, and odd objects are what provoke his behavior.

Before working in any new location, we encourage Finn to explore the area when the least amount of people and dogs are present. 👀 This helps Finn become more comfortable in new surroundings before introducing those stimuli. 👌

🦌 MEET SVEN 🦌

He is a 4 year old Lab/Collie/Shepherd Mix! Like many dogs, Sven feels threatened and becomes anxious as visitors enter the front door and when strangers pass his yard line.

For the next few weeks, Sven will be learning that these 'intruders' are actually friends and how to properly greet them. As well as, how to ignore the activity outside of the fence and continue having fun with his other dog siblings! 🐕☀️

On top of the boiling heat, black fluffy fur causes dogs to get quite toasty a lot faster than us. 🥵 Ollie, our newest student, prefers to lounge by the poolside or lay in the cool grass under the shade. 😎

Our four legged friends overheat quickly, so help keep them cool when outside, and avoid the sizzling hot pavement! ☀️
