The last 2.5 weeks have been busy ones in the barn. 4 litters of pigs, with one more on the way. Then a break until August. If you want to try raising your own pigs, let me know. These will take you 4months from when you bring them home, until they are ready to process. They are fantastic pigs, and once you raise your own, you won’t ever buy from the grocery store again!

Three new litters on the ground in the last few weeks! 2 more coming in the next few. Message me to get on the list for your feeder pigs or if you are interested in a gilt or boar. There should be a few prospects in these litters. 😊

I’ve seen a lot of people looking for feeder pigs. I am expecting 6 more litters between now and August. Finally! After what seems like forever of Harriet teasing me about having these darn pigs, she finally did!!! Welcome to the world little ones!!! She is such an amazing mama. She gets right down to business of delivering her babies. That whole pile in less than 2 hours. And for size reference, the walls at her head and tail are 8 feet apart so she’s approximately 7 feet long from nose to butt. She’s an enormous girl, and oh so gentle. I was sitting next to her rubbing her hips and drying the pigs as they were born. Even the sqealers didn’t make her get mad at me. ❤️❤️❤️Harriet.

Honk the goose has quite a clutch of eggs she’s sitting on. I wonder if they will hatch? Another 3 weeks and I guess I will know! !!!

I’m a little slow with the announcement, but we have a new member of the sounder (this is a name for a group of pigs) the farm! Welcome home Sebastian!! He is a 9 month old Polish China boar. I’m excited to see what we will get from him and the year old gilts, Petunia, Daisy, and Lilac early this summer. Stay tuned for updates!

These 12 little ones are doing great and will be ready to go October 20. Mom is doing a great job with a big litter, she’s working hard to feed all her babies and is so careful and gentle with all the little ones!

Sweet Pea delivered the last litter of 2022 last night. August 25,2022. She did a fantastic job, and so far, mom and babies are all doing well. They will be ready for new barns about October 20.

Update: 8-10. A few still available for August 31 and 4 available for late September. These are fast growing crossbred piglets that will reach butcher weight in 5-6 months with a good diet.

Last lambs of the year, possibly ever, for us today. Bitter sweet. Love lambs and my sheep. Twin Icelandic rams for Jewel and a single Black Welsh for Meri. The flock is for sale so if they leave, there won’t be more lambs next year for us. I will miss them, but will be able to have more time for piglets and more litters. ❤️❤️❤️

These 3 gorgeous gilts are our new additions. They will spend the upcoming year growing up and learning about life as a going to be mama pig here. They will also likely be attending the Waupaca county fair in August to show off how pretty they are. Looking forward to some added new genetics for piglets next year, hopefully, a few show pig litters early in the year and then, of course, feeders. I needed to add a few more girls to keep up with the popularity of our fantastic feeders. Don’t forget to get on our list for upcoming litters, they sell out fast! Next litters due at the end of June, 2022.

We’ve got more babies! Harriet had 12 beautiful babies early this morning. She’s taking great care of them and singing beautiful piggy lullaby’s already!

Baby piglets are growing fast. Trying to teach them to eat with mom, but they weren’t impressed tonight. Sure are cute though. The very helpful cat was making Hemi mad though.

Hemi delivered her litter on Saturday! She started Friday night and finished about 10:45 Saturday morning. It was a long night! She’s a great mama!

I will be taking pictures and posting the available lambs and adult sheep in June or July(as soon as I can). Lambs won’t be weaned until September, but will be able to be reserved with non-refundable deposit. Message me for details.
