This is one of my training horses this month, He is a 9 month old Canadian horse. As a newborn he was handled to be tube fed and received medical care, since then he has had an adversity to being haltered. His owners have not had success in haltering him in 9 months. This is a progression video of this stud colt here, coming in super defensive and kicking at anything in sight (or just in the air for that matter) then finally letting his guard down and revealing the relaxed horse that was in there all along 💕
I'm not the best at keeping my page up to date on the progress of horses in training but I'm truly thankful for all my clients and a full barn of training horses.
This 4 year old QH gelding has a sensitive side and as a green broke colt, his last ride ended with bucking someone off. He's been here a handful of days. I worked on getting a good handle on ground work and getting him going in a snaffle. I purposefully rode him with a bit more energy, changing directions and quickly asking for transitions, keeping him attentive. Seemed to pay off. We'll keep at this pace and see what his progress looks like in a while :)
It's colt starting season!!! First ride on a super nice, young quarter horse gelding. He'll be barrel racing someday but right now he's here learning the basics. Feels awesome to be back at it full swing with a new and improved space to work the horses 💪💕
Don't miss out on this super nice, fancy mare. 5 year old, grade Gypsy/Welsh, just under 15.1 hands. "Rumor" has a great start, been riding the trails this summer and ready to go any direction. She is super fun, good minded, sound and healthy. UTD on everything.
