Sometimes it’s not the size, but more the location of wounds thats important when deciding on how to treat. Wounds around synovial structures can be devastating to the long term soundness of the horse and need to me examined quickly after they occur. This horse had a wound that penetrated the deep digital flexor tendon sheath, it was treated successfully and the horse is back in full work.
