Welcome to the pawsome world Dane Park Grapevine! One of the many benefits of living here is the addition of the Fidus staff, who are available for dog-related services to our residents and their furbabies.
Fidus staff are carefully selected and heavily trained, ready to perform a wide variety of services to our 4-legged residents. As Dane Park properties have no breed or weight restrictions, we happily welcome all friendly dogs to live on site. Understanding that each dog is an individual, we approach their unique personalities with care and comfort.
Kaya here is a sweet senior girl, who needs time to warm up to new people. She requires daily medication, which has previously made her mom's schedule sometimes difficult to work around. Watch as our dog walker, Emma, takes her time with Kaya and allows Kaya to gain her trust. After some time where Kaya was able to sniff and approach Emma on her own terms, they built trust! Now, the two are on great terms, and anytime Kaya's mom needs to book a service, she knows her dog is in the loving hands of someone her dog feels safe with!

Yesterday, Equinox on the Park made a special surprise visit to Garland Animal Shelter for #impactday! As our local Garland #animalshelter, Fidus Communities was extremely excited for this visit. We donated much needed supplies, such as pet food and comfies, to help care for the animals at the shelter.
As with most shelters, Garland Animal Services is at #fullcapacity with 250 animals in need of homes. Fidus Communities are a proud partner of GAS and we help to find their dogs a home. We feature available dogs in our weekly foster newsletter and are a close resource for anyone who goes there looking to surrender their dog due to housing restrictions. We were thankful to attend their new shelter opening back in March and have them attend our adoption event the same month. If you haven't seen their new facility, it's a must! Stop by the shelter everyday (except Wednesday) between 11-6pm to meet your next furry family member. Afterwards, come by Equinox on the Park for a property tour, and let us welcome you and your friendly dog home to the most dog-centric, luxury apartments! Mention GAS during your tour and when you move in, you'll get a discount and we'll donate $200 to the shelter!

A very special Fidus #shoutout to #fosterdog hero JoAnn - our amazing resident who opened her home to sweet Daisy for a 30day stay-cation.
Daisy had an emotional reunion with her #pawrent yesterday, but absolutely loved her foster home Cross Creek at Grapevine Ranch. Daisy spent her days napping right next to JoAnn, going for long walks around the beautiful complex and making new friends at the on-site dog park. Helping animals is something JoAnn has always been passionate about, and after moving in a Fidus Community, she was beyond amazed with just how #dogfriendly we are. She couldn't believe that we not only welcome all friendly dogs, but that we highly encourage our residents to open their home to a foster dog in need. She's thankful to live at a property that does so much to help save dogs and excited for her next foster story.

Velma's story is sadly typical for dogs as they gracefully age. After 13 years with her family, she was taken to a shelter and surrendered. The reason? They no longer had time for her. This sweet girl is now terrified of car rides and where she may be taken by the new person in her life. Aside from that trauma, she's the sweetest girl with a huge, loving heart. She's dog friendly, kid friendly, crate and potty trained, enjoys a good sun bath finished with a belly rub and sleeps on her bed on the floor next to her person at night. Look at those loving eyes! Roman is a 2 year old mix breed with sweet eyes and a timid demeanour. He's great on a leash and prefers a space right by his human as he works to come out of his shell with a light jog as his prefered mode of transportation. He is easy to handle in/out of the kennel door, co-housed and friendly with other pups, and sweet Roman is ready to gussy up to his forever person.
