What a great time we had at the Lowchen National! Gnocchi showed in the Beginner Puppy ring on Saturday and was awarded a Non-Sporting Group 1 with Pepper on the other end of the lead. Pepper and our borrowed Lowchen, Tw***ie got a first in the Novice Junior class with competition for the first time! Rosie showed great for me, even though she would have rather had Pepper show her 🙂. Pepper also had the opportunity to show Phil, an English Toy Spaniel.
I also had the opportunity to be apart of a Grooming seminar as the coat maintenance presenterthe, which had a fabulous in person turn out of juniors. A livestream was recorded and can be viewed in the LCA National 2024 FB page.
The icing on the cake was watching a junior helping a young junior with some handling tips. That’s truly what this sport should be like all the time 🙂
National Specialties are always exhausting and fun, with endless opportunities to continue to learn, grow and share a rare breed with others in the process. Thank you to the show committee for all your hard work. Congratulations to all of the winners and to all the exhibitors who put time and effort into preserving the Lowchen.
