A1292456 Akita is an approximately 2-year-old, 54-pound, spayed female, American Pit Bull Terrier mix.
She entered the shelter as a stray with a microchip. Her owner is aware she is here and did not come to get her.
Akita is a friendly girl who is eager to be out of her kennel and spending time with people. She does great on a leash and is an easy girl to take for walks. She is interested in the other shelter dogs and a "meet and greet" is recommended if you have another dog at home. She has a pleasant personality, is calm, and enjoys just hanging out with people. She will be a great family addition and companion.

A1294324 Howard is a 1-year-old, 10-pound, neutered male, Shorthaired Cat.
He was an owner surrender to the shelter due to them unable to afford his care and moving. Howard entered the shelter with another cat.
Howard is shy boy. He is friendly but when placed in a new environment will seek a safe place to watch you from. He will need time to decompress and gain confidence in a new home. Howard’s personality is sure to blossom once he is in a loving home.

A1290749 Athena is a 6-year-old, 82-pound, spayed female, American Pit Bull Terrier mix.
She entered the shelter as a stray.
Athena is a friendly girl who is excited to be out of her kennel and with people. She pulls with excitement and will need a firm hand on the other end of the leash. She is cautiously interested in the other shelter dogs and a "meet and greet" is recommended if you have another dog at home. She knows how to "sit" and "stay" on cue and is eager to please her handler. Athena will be a fine companion.

A1295618 Baby is a 3-year-old, 7-pound, spayed female, Torbie shorthaired Cat.
She entered the shelter as an owner surrender because they had too many cats and were being evicted.
Baby was spayed by our medical team.
Baby is a very friendly and social girl. She loves attention and enjoys to be petted. She likes exploring the cat room and will start to talk and chatter. Baby is a beautiful girl that once in a home is sure to bring you lots of entertainment and joy.

A1295040 Bethany is approximately 5-year-old, 7-pound, spayed female, Chihuahua. Home for the Holidays makes her adoption fee only $45.
She entered the shelter as a stray and was spayed by our medical team.
Bethany is a tall, slender, beautiful little chi-chi. She is a little shy but very sweet. She has done well with other little dogs she is kenneled with. Bethany is not leash broken and rather be carried than made to walk on a leash. She will need a home that will let her decompress and become comfortable in new surroundings. Bethany is sure to be a great little girl that won't leave your side once she bonds to you.

She entered the shelter as an owner surrender due being unable to care for her. She has lived with other dogs and children but not cats. They report she is not housebroken.
Delilah was spayed by our medical team.
Delilah is a friendly and calm girl here at the shelter. She is not leash broken and would much rather you just carry her. She seems to be friendly with other small dogs and a meet and greet is recommended if you have another dog at home. Delilah still needs training so if you have the time and patience for her she will make a great addition to your family.

A1288906 Hot Toddy is an approximately 3-year-old, 50-pound, American Pit Bull Terrier mix.

He entered the shelter as a stray and was neutered by our medical team.

Hot Toddy is an energetic and busy boy who delights in smelling and exploring the ground. He pulls with enthusiasm while on a leash and does not seem to respond to basic obedience cues. He is a nice boy who likes attention, when he is ready for it. He can be vocal when you approach his kennel, as he wants to make sure you see him so you can get him out! He is interested in the other shelter dogs and a "meet and greet" is recommended if you have another dog at home.

A1260920 Roo is a 3-year-old, 34-pound, spayed female, Queensland Heeler mix.
She entered the shelter as an owner surrender due to them losing their home. They state she has lived with other dogs, cats, and children. She was mostly an outdoor dog and did frequent dog parks.
Roo is confused about being at the shelter. She is hesitant with new people at first and may take a little bit to warm up to you. However, once you spend some time with her she is very sweet. She is easy to leash and walks well but does pull sometimes. She isn’t interested in the other shelter dogs at this time. Roo is ready to start a new life as a member of a family.

A1293320 Stash is approximately 7-year-old, 8-pounds, neutered male, Shorthaired Cat.
He entered the shelter as a stray and was given a dental cleaning by our medical team.
Stash is a wonderful boy. He is very friendly and social. He is easy to pick up and enjoys exploring his surroundings. Stash is a striking kitty that is waiting for a forever home. Come meet him today and fall in love.

A1294150 Sugar is a 3-year-old, 48-pound, spayed female, Shepard/Husky mix. Home for the holidays makes her adoption fee only $45.
She came into the shelter as an owner surrender. Her previous owners turned her in due to getting neighbor/housing owner association complaints. Sugar has lived with cats and children but has not lived with other dogs. She was spayed by our medical team.
Sugar is as sweet as her name. She is easy to handle and very friendly. Sugar is high energy so get ready for that sugar rush. A meet and greet is recommended if you have another dog at home. She is a great dog and will make you wish you came and met her sooner.

A1205291 Pachuko is a 6-year-old, 64-pound, neutered male, American Pitbull Terrier.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender due to them losing their housing. Pachuko frequently went to dog parks they report. He did not live with other dogs, cats, or children.
Pachuko is a sweet and strong boy. He is easy to leash but does pull when being walked. He does exhibit some prey drive with the small dogs and is questionable when walking by them. He is really interested in stiffing and exploring when out of his kennel. Pachuko loves people and is very eager to jump up on you for attention. He is a friendly and high energy boy that will need a family that can channel that energy in a positive direction.

He entered the shelter as a stray and was neutered by our medical team.

Theodore is a friendly, shy and timid boy; the shelter is very scary for him. He has a calm and quiet demeanor about him. He is easy to leash and walks well on the leash. Theodore will need a home that will give him time to decompress and let his true personality shine through. He has done well with other small dogs he is kenneled with.

He entered the shelter as an owner surrender for the reason of "Not being able to control him."
Slinky is friendly, happy and bounces around the play yard during group play. He is easy to leash and although he is well behaved on the leash he does pull and tends to have a mind of his own. He enjoys being outside and laying on the grass in the play yard. A “meet and greet” is recommended if you have another dog at home. Slinky would love a quiet home where he can decompress and get lots of love and affection. Slinky was adopted and retuned to the shelter for nipping at the kids in the home. He would thrive best in a home with no children.

She was surrendered to the shelter by her owner due to losing their home. She has lived with other cats and dogs but not children.
Chloe is upset about being at the shelter, but we can’t really blame her. She may hiss at you when you approach her kennel but does allow you to pick her up. Once she knows she is safe she does enjoy affection from you and allows you to pet her. Chloe will need a home that will allow her to decompress and relax in a home environment again.

He entered the shelter as a stray and was neutered by our medical team.
Scrooge may not appreciate his picture being taken but this ex-tom cat is sure happy to be warm inside the shelter with a bed, food, and water. He still is a shy and hesitant kitty, especially when in a new environment. In the cat room he will find a cubby in a cat tree and hang out there. He does allow you to pick him up and has started leaning into head scratches. Scrooge will need a patient home to allow him time to enjoy his new life.

She entered the shelter as an owner surrender due to having small children in the home and having no time to spend with her.
Princess was given a dental cleaning and had a growth removed from her belly by our medical team.
Princess is the sweetest senior girl. She is easy to leash and well behaved when being walked. She just wants affection from you and looks up at you with her sweet pitty eyes and smiles. Princess has lived with other dogs her previous owner stated and shows friendly interest with other shelter dogs. A meet and greet is recommended if you have another dog at home.

She hasn’t shown any aggression but rather just flees from anything new. Princess Peach will need a home that will give her time to adjust and be patient with her. A1286737 Katniss is approximately 4-year-old, 9-pound, spayed female, Longhaired Cat. Home for the Holidays makes her adoption fee only $40.

She entered the shelter as a stray and gave birth to litter of kittens. She was in foster care until her kittens were weaned and was then spayed by our medical team.

Katniss doesn’t put her best paw forward—being scared and stressed causes her to hiss when you first approach. However, this is all just a show from a sweet mama cat who was likely abandoned, ended up in the shelter, then gave birth less than 48 hours later! You’ll hear her soft, plaintive mews, and see she wants affection…she’s simply a little confused. As she builds trust in you, her hiss alternates with loud, rumbling purrs as she makes biscuits. Though nervous about being picked up (she runs & hides) she slowly gets more comfortable with it. She is VERY playful, will chase slithery toys on fishing lines until panting. She is a fantastic mama who deserves to be loved & cared for herself now! Give her a chance, and you’ll see this “fierce” lady is truly a sweetheart.

She entered the shelter as an owner surrender due to having too many cats. She was sick and once we treated her and she recovered she was spayed by our medical team.

Mama Cass is a little girl who is ready for a new lease on life. She is shy and will hide in cubby holes in the cat trees to watch what is going on around her. She does allow you to pick her up and once she relaxes she enjoys affection. Mama Cass will a home that will allow her to come out of her shell. She came from a multi-cat household and may do well with other cats.

He is a surrender due to the owner not having any time for him. He was neutered by our medical team. He was adopted and then returned for not getting along with their other dog at home (they did not do a meet and greet first).

Benji is a sweet boy who is excited and eager to be taken for walks. He pulls and jumps with excitement, initially, but after a bit he calms down. He has lots of energy and will need a family who can match his enthusiasm for life. He knows how to "sit" and "stay" on cue and is eager to please his handler. He seems excited to meet other dogs and a "meet and greet" is recommended if you have another dog at home. Benji is going to make a wonderful and loyal companion.

A1234557 Evie is a 2-year-old, 66-pound, spayed female, Siberian Husky. Home for the Holidays makes her adoption fee only $45.

She entered the shelter as an owner surrender. Her previous owner found her and later turned her in due to her aggressive behavior towards children when left alone with food. There is no record of Evie living with any other animals.

Evie is friendly, social, and energetic. As soon as she comes out her kennel, she is ready to go run a marathon. She needs someone to match her energy. Evie is ready to join you on those morning hikes and late-night walks. A home without small children is preferred. A meet and greet is recommended if you have another dog at home. A1290109 Goliath is a 3-year-old, 73-pound, neutered male, Chinese Shar Pei mix. Home for the Holidays makes his adoption fee only $45.

He entered the shelter as a surrender due to the owner not able to care for him. He was neutered by our medical team and had both of his ear infections treated.

Goliath was a bit grumpy when he first came in, but he has settled down and enjoys being taken for walks and hanging out with people. He is a calm boy who plods along at his own pace, smelling this and that as he goes. He has lived with dogs and a "meet and greet" is recommended if you have another dog at home. He allows you to pet him and in time, he will warm up to you and his personality will blossom. Shar Pei's are known to be loyal and intelligent. If you love this breed, now is the time to bring Goliath home!

He entered the shelter as an owner surrender. His previous owner moved into a smaller place and was unable to bring Kodi along. He has lived with other animals and children in the past. Kodi is kennel trained but not housebroken. He was neutered by our medical team.

Kodi is calm but timid until he gets to know you better. Kodi requires some time to adjust to his new surroundings but once he does you will see how sweet he can be. Kodi is easy to leash and doesn’t pull you while being walked. Kodi needs a companion willing to show him the meaning of unconditional love. Kodi is ready to join your family, he just needs a little motivation. Show Kodi that you care and give him a place to call home, he’ll be the best decision you ever made.

A1295327 Milo is a 7-month-old, 8-pound, neutered male. Short haired cat.

He entered the shelter as an owner surrender due to them being allergic to him. He has lived with other cats and children but not dogs. Milo was neutered by our medical team.

He entered the shelter as a stray. He was very matted when he came in and was groomed and shaved by our medical team.

Murray is a friendly and social big boy. He allows you to pick him up and enjoys attention. He will talk to you and tell you stories if you listen long enough to him. Who knows what kind of life Murray lived on the streets….but he is happy now being clean, warm and loved. All he needs is a home!

She entered the shelter as a stray and her owner decided to surrender her to the shelter because they couldn’t keep her. Winter has lived with children and other dogs. She is housebroken but has no experience with using doggie doors.
She was given a dental cleaning by our medical team.

Winter is very friendly and easy to leash. Winter loves to get her head and back rubbed. Winter is sweet and loving. Her affectionate ways will keep you warm on those cold winter nights. She would do amazing with any family. Give Winter a place to call home.

A1294157 Stella is an 8-year-old, 11-pound, spayed female, Chihuahua mix.
Home for the holidays makes her adoption fee only $45.

She came into the shelter an owner surrender. Her previous owners turned her in due to their grandson being allergic. Stella has lived with children and other animals. They stated that Stella experiences the occasional seizure but didn’t bring in any veterinary paperwork or medication for her. Our medical team evaluated her and did bloodwork which the current adopter would get a copy of. She was also given a dental cleaning. She has not had any seizures here at the shelter and appears to be a healthy elder girl. Stella is housebroken and has experience with using doggie doors. Stella is active and friendly. She is a social butterfly. Stella is ready to get her groove back in a new home filled with joy and love.

Mary is friendly and eager to interact with people. She shy’s away when you try to leash her, but she loves long walks on the beach, but she will settle for long walks on the desert if you give her a place to call home. Mary is high energy and glows with excitement anytime you look her way. She loves treats but use caution she might try to sn**ch those snacks right out of your hand. She just can’t sit still whenever food is involved. If you love food, then you’ll understand how Mary feels. She needs someone to love her the way she loves those treats.

A1286008 Lainey is a 4-year-old, 46-pound, spayed female, American Pitbull Terrier mix. Home for the Holidays makes her adoption fee only $45. She entered the shelter as a stray. Lainey was spayed and had a dental cleaning by our medical team. Lainey is friendly but a bit hesitant on initial approach. The loudness of the kennels overwhelms her but once in a quieter/open area she comes out of her shell. She knows how to “sit”. She is friendly towards everyone, happy to make new friends. She walks pretty well on her leash but can pull with excitement. She is friendly towards other dogs and a “meet and greet” is recommended if you have another dog at home.

Bruce

UPDATE ADOPTED! A1291987 Bruce is a 3-year-old, 55-pound, neutered male, Dutch Shepherd mix. He entered the shelter as a surrender due to spouse not wanting him anymore. Bruce is a bit nervous at the shelter but is a good boy! He knows how to "sit" and "stay" on cue and is eager to please. He has lived with cats, children, and dogs. A "meet and greet" is recommended if you have another dog at home. We were told he is housebroken, knows how to use a doggie door, and has frequented the dog park. He is going to be a pleasant family addition and companion.

Olive

UPDATE ADOPTED! A1291100 Olive is an approximately 3-year-old, 74-pound, spayed female, American Pit Bull Terrier/Rottweiler mix. She came to us as a stray and was spayed by our medical team. Olive is timid and unsure in her kennel and isn't too sure about the shelter environment in general. She pulls on the leash and will require a strong hand on the other end. She hasn't responded to any basic obedience cues but is smart and will be relatively easy to train with positive reinforcement. Her personality will blossom once she is in a comfortable and secure home with a loving family.

Bella Donna

A1291236 Bella Donna is a 6-year-old, 65-pound, spayed female, American Bulldog mix. She was a surrender due to owner working too much. Bella Donna is friendly and eager to get out of her kennel. She initially pulls with excitement on the leash, but settles down quickly and is well behaved. She seems irritated by the other shelter dogs and keeps her hackles up when around them. A home as an only pet would probably work best for her. She does know how to "sit" on cue but is distracted easily. She is going to be a loyal companion.

Chapo

A1292309 Chapo is an approximately 4-year-old, 50-pound, neutered male, American Pit Bull Terrier mix. He entered the shelter as a stray with a microchip, to owner was contacted but never came to get him. He had his ears examined and treated by our medical team. Chapo is a super sweet boy who is eager and excited to be out of his kennel and being with people. He does great on a leash and is a pleasure to take for walks. He knows how to "sit" and "stay" on cue and is eager to please. He seems to like other dogs and a "meet and greet" is recommended if you have another dog at home. Chapo is going to be an awesome companion and family member.

He is receptive to meeting the other shelter dogs and a "meet and greet" is recommended if you have another dog at home. He knows how to "sit", "down", and "stay" on cue, briefly. He is just an all-around happy boy who will bring a smile to your face and companionship to you forever.

A1279918 Slinky is approximately 3-year-old, 64-pound, neutered male, Plott hound/Pitbull mix. He entered the shelter as an owner surrender for the reason of "Not being able to control him." Slinky is friendly, happy and bounces around the play yard during group play. He is easy to leash and although he is well behaved on the leash he does pull and tends to have a mind of his own. He enjoys being outside and laying on the grass in the play yard. A “meet and greet” is recommended if you have another dog at home. Slinky would love a quiet home where he can decompress and get lots of love and affection. Slinky was adopted and retuned to the shelter for nipping at the kids in the home. He would thrive best in a home with no children.

A1290109 Goliath is a 3-year-old, 73-pound, neutered male, Chinese Shar Pei mix. He entered the shelter as a surrender due to the owner not able to care for him. He was neutered by our medical team and had both of his ear infections treated. Goliath was a bit grumpy when he first came in, but he has settled down and enjoys being taken for walks and hanging out with people. He is a calm boy who plods along at his own pace, smelling this and that as he goes. He has lived with dogs and a "meet and greet" is recommended if you have another dog at home. A1288906 Hot Toddy is an approximately 3-year-old, 50-pound, American Pit Bull Terrier mix. He entered the shelter as a stray and was neutered by our medical team. Hot Toddy is an energetic and busy boy who delights in smelling and exploring the ground. He pulls with enthusiasm while on a leash and does not seem to respond to basic obedience cues. He is a nice boy who likes attention, when he is ready for it. He can be vocal when you approach his kennel, as he wants to make sure you see him so you can get him out! He is interested in the other shelter dogs and a "meet and greet" is recommended if you have another dog at home.

Lamborghini

A1274679 Lamborghini is a 4-year-old, spayed female, American Bulldog/Mastiff mix. She entered the shelter as a stray with a microchip that came back to the person turning her in as a stray, who ultimately stated it was apartment restrictions, as to why he brought her in. She had a skin tag removed by our medical team. Lamborghini is friendly and eager to be taken out of her kennel. She pulls with excitement on the leash and is just a happy girl with people. She does not seem friendly around other dogs and would be best placed in a home without other pets. She has lived with children and enjoys being part of a family. Lamborghini is a big girl and has a lot of love to share.

Milli playing fetch

A1292251 Milli is an 8-month-old, 54-pound, spayed female, American Pit Bull Terrier mix. She entered the shelter as a surrender due to the owner moving and was spayed by our medical team. Milli has lived with other dogs and when left unattended outside, she tends to bark often. She is a friendly and social girl who enjoys meeting new people. She is receptive to meeting other dogs and a "meet and greet" is recommended if you have another dog at home. Milli does well on a leash and enjoys going for walks.

Hazelnut and Cinnamon

A1280515 Cinnamon and A1280516 Hazelnut are bonded female guinea pigs. They are our longest residents in the critter room still waiting for a forever home. Adoption fee is only $10 each.

Maxx

UPDATE ADOPTED! Our shelter volunteer Angie was at the adoption event with A1246870 Maxx, an 11-year-old, 14-pound, neutered male, Poodle/Pomeranian mix-type dog. She can't believe he wasn't adopted. About a year ago, he was found abandoned in a construction area, tired, matted, and neglected. At that time he was given medical attention and after he was feeling better had a dental by our medical team. The remainder of his teeth needed to be removed so now has no more teeth. This doesn't stop him from eating and having a healthy appetite. He was also groomed by staff. Maxx was adopted then returned due to the owner moving out of state. He loves to go for walks with you and enjoys attention. He does well with his kennel mates and a "meet and greet" is recommended if you have another dog at home. He is a sweet and gentle boy who will be a wonderful family addition and companion.

Lamborghini

Diego

A1279336 Diego is a 2½-year-old, neutered male, short-haired cat. He was a surrender due to owner no longer able to care for him. He was scared and grouchy when he first arrived but is a sweet and affectionate cat. He likes to rub up against you for affection and pets. He does get irritated with the sounds/sights of other cats, so an only pet for him would be best.

Pac

A1171410 Pac is a 5-year-old, 103-pound, neutered male, American Bulldog mix. He entered the shelter as a stray with some skin issues. Our medical team treated him with antibiotics, and he received some medicated baths. He was adopted from us last year, this month, and returned due to resource guarding with food and toys around people and other pets. Pac is a big hunk of burning love! He doesn’t realize how big he is and wants to be right next to you. Pac is a very friendly and loves attention from people. He does know how to sit and shake but could use some better manners on a leash. A meet and greet is recommended if you have another dog at home. He is housebroken and has occasional allergies. He does love his squeaky toys and they definitely get his attention! Due to his resource guarding, he would do best as an only pet in a home without children.

Pachuko

A1205291 Pachuko is a 6-year-old, 64-pound, neutered male, American Pitbull Terrier. He entered the shelter as an owner surrender due to them losing their housing. Pachuko frequently went to dog parks they report. He did not live with other dogs, cats, or children. Pachuko is a sweet and strong boy. He is easy to leash but does pull when being walked. He does exhibit some prey drive with the small dogs and is questionable when walking by them. He is really interested in stiffing and exploring when out of his kennel. Pachuko loves people and is very eager to jump up on you for attention. He is a friendly and high energy boy that will need a family that can channel that energy in a positive direction.

Buddy's Toes

A1290011 Buddy is a 5-year-old, 94-pound, neutered male, Labrador/Shepherd mix. He came to us as a surrender due to the owner being placed in an assisted living home. He had a dental cleaning by our medical team. Buddy is a friendly boy who is eager to be out of his kennel and with people. He does well on a leash and enjoys going for walks and has fun romping off leash. He knows how to "sit" on cue but is distracted easily...squirrel! He loves attention and will come to you when called, if he isn't busy exploring with his nose. He is housebroken and knows how to use a doggie door. Buddy has frequented the dog park and is happy to meet other dogs. A "meet and greet" is recommended if you have another dog at home. He is a big boy with and even bigger heart and has lots of love to give. He is going to be a wonderful companion for any family.

UPDATE ADOPTED! A1289460 Aries is a 3-year-old, 56-pound, neutered male, German Shepherd. He was a surrender due to not being allowed on the property and was neutered by our medical team. Aries is super energetic and loves to follow his nose! He gets preoccupied with his exploring and will come to you for attention when ready. He is rather an independent fellow who has lived with children and a small dog. He was mostly an outdoor dog, who delighted in barking and digging in the yard, and is not yet housebroken. Aries needs a home where he will be welcomed into the house and trained to be a compatible family member. If he is an active member of the family, living indoors and going for walks/hikes, he will be less likely to dig and bark. He does tend to guard and protect his food, so you need to be aware of his surrounding when he is fed. He is smart and will most likely be easy to train.
