A1329656 Bo is a black-and-white colored, approximately 2-year-old, 52- pound, neutered male, Bull Terrier mix.
He entered the shelter on 7/19/24 when his owner passed away.
Bo is a big ball of energy who is ready for his new active family! He will require an active lifestyle to burn a lot of energy. He is very smart and knows how to sit, shake, lay down, stay, and come. He will need some obedience training but is quick to learn. He is curious about other dogs at the shelter, if you have dogs at home you should bring them in to meet him. Bo is patiently waiting for his new family who will play with him!
Thunder & Diesel

A1000227 Thunder, a 7-year-old, 60-pound pit mix, & A0688148 Diesel, a 12-year-old, 21-pound dachshund mix, are a bonded pair who must be adopted together.
They were surrendered to the shelter on July 17 because their owners were moving out of state.
These senior gentleman are friendly and well-mannered. While Diesel is sometimes vocal in the kennel, Thunder is a quiet boy who thinks he’s a lap dog. They are both sweet dogs who enjoy the company of people as well as running in the play yard with one another. Their previous owner told us that Thunder is very bonded with Diesel but doesn’t get along with other animals. We can see the bond between these two, and are hoping a hero will come along so they can stay together in their golden years!
Mama
A1230520 Mama is a 63-pound, 3-year-old, spayed female Pitbull.
She was an owner surrender because they are moving and can't take her with them.
Mama has lived with children but not dogs or other cats with them. She was previously entered the shelter a year ago with another dog. They report she is housebroken and frequented the dog parks.
Mama is a friendly and eager girl. She is easy to leash but does pull while being walked. She is high energy but loves to get attention from you. She will give you kisses and snuggle next to you.
Salz and Pepper
A1323223 Salz and A1326402 Pepper and both spayed female rabbits that have become bonded. They have been at the shelter over two months now. Please consider them for adoption. They are sweet girls deserving of a home.

“Paws” was surrendered because the owners were no longer able to care for him. They stated
Paws is a sweet gentleman. He is eager to please and loves to be surrounded by people. He is calm and would make a great addition to the family. He enjoys going for walks and does pretty good on a leash. He knows basic commands like “sit” and “come” and of course loves treats!
Paws is just a big boy looking for a second chance in life. He would love to spend time with you if you want to come visit!
Firefox on Pet of the Week KLAS
Did you see Firefox, A1315162, on Channel 8 new this morning? If not here is the video. He and our Veterinary Technician Cindy got to be on the pet of the week. Firefox did so well and was such a good boy! If you want to adopt this tv star, come to the shelter. His adoption fee has been paid for by FOHAS, all he needs is a home.
Charlee

A1317170 Charlee is a brown and white, 4-year-old, 61-pound, spayed female Pitbull.
She entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 04-30-2024 due to the fact the owner could not take her to her new home.
Charlee was fearful and timid here when she first got to the shelter. Now she is friendly, a little hesitant, but calm around new people. Once she gets comfortable with you, she is a nice, sweet girl. She does not seem to like other dogs. She was easy to leash and well behaved on walks. The previous owner says she is house broken. She would be best in a home with no kids or other pets. Charlee will be a great companion for the adult with no kids and time to love her in her new forever home. Volunteers have taken her on field trips and she has done very well in new enviornments.
Turbo

A1323785 Turbo is an approximately 3-year-old, 68-pound, neutered male Pitbull.
He entered the shelter as a stray on 06-11-2024, and has been neutered by our medical team.
Turbo is a friendly, eager and excited boy here at the shelter. He is easy to leash but pulls and jumps in excitement. Though hyper and energetic, our volunteers tell us Turbo is a sweet dog who loves to be loved on! He has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. Turbo will need some basic training leash and dog trainings, and an owner that can keep up with his energy. He’s ready to be part of an active family and have a place to call home!
Sam

A1328008 Sam is a red colored, approximately 3 to 4-year-old, 43-pound, neutered male, Shar Pei.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 7/09/2024 due to the fact they were moving out of state and couldn’t take him. He was altered by our medical staff.
Sam is pretty timid here at the shelter. He is still trying to figure out what’s going on and why he is here at the shelter. Our staff says he is tense when you sit with him and pet him. He was easy to leash but pulled during our walks. The previous owner says he is not house broken and has lived with other dogs, but not cats or children. Our staff recommends no small children due to how nervous and tense he is here at the shelter. Sam needs a patient owner to give him time to trust and then he will be a loyal companion in his new forever home.
The adoption fee is $90.00 dollars.
Thunder & Diesel
A1000227 Thunder is a gray-&-white colored, approximately 5-year-old, 60- pound, neutered male, Pitbull type.
A0688148 Diesel is a brown colored, approximately 12-year-old, 21-pound, neutered male, Dachshund mix.

Diesel is a friendly, vocal old man here at the shelter. Our staff says he barks when you approach his kennel but loves people and is very friendly. He was easy leash and well behaved during our walks. He is bonded with Thunder, his 7-year-old brother and they must be adopted together. Thunder doesn't like to be away from his brother Diesel. He is nervous by himself. Once he warms up to you he tries to be in your lap. He doesn't know he is a big dog. The previous owner says they are house broken and has lived with dogs and children. Thunder & Diesel will be a loving loyal companion in his new forever home.
Fish
We have some fresh water fish that need a new tank to call their own. Come into the shelter with a large bucket to transfer the fish safely home.
Blade
A1332922 Blade is a black and tan colored, approximately 1-year-old, 91-pound, neutered male Rottweiler.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 08-05-2024 due to the fact he is unable to care for him.
Blade is a friendly, timid and calm boy here at the shelter. Our staff describes him as a well-mannered gentleman. He is nervous and unsure in the shelter environment. He was easy to leash and behaved during our walks. The previous owner says he is not housebroken and has lived with other dogs and children. He came in with Luna and the previous owner says they get along with each other but not other dogs. He will “sit” upon command. Blade will be a loyal family member in his new forever home.

A1330706 Furball is a rare flame point colored, approximately 8-year-old, 9-pound, neutered male, Domestic Long-Haired cat.
He entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 07-25-2024 due to the fact the owner was no longer able to care for him.
Furball is a friendly, easy to handle boy here at the shelter. Our staff says the shelter environment has him nervous and stressed. He is timid and calm here right now. In the playroom he looks for a cubby to hide in and watch the room. The previous owner says he is litterbox trained and has lived with children, cats and dogs. Given a little time to get comfortable, Furball is going to be a great lap cat and loving companion in his new forever home.

Rabbits
Though A1323223 "Salz" and A1326402 "Pepper" the spayed female rabbits didn't enter our shelter together, they started sharing a cage a few weeks ago when our critter room entered critical capacity. It's very clear that they've bonded with one another over this time--we now find them grooming each other! These sweet girls have both been in our shelter since June, and are eager to hippity-hoppity and stretch their legs in a home of their own together!
Bruce
A1319117 Bruce is a gray colored, approximately 3-year-old, 53- pound, neutered male, Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix.
Bruce is a friendly but timid and shy here in the shelter environment. Being timid and shy made him a little difficult to leash, but he was well behaved during our walks. Our staff says that once he becomes comfortable with you, he will come to you for cuddles and rubs and roll over and give you, his belly. No interest in other dogs here. Bruce is a loving boy and will make a loyal companion in his new forever home.
Firefox
A1315162 Firefox is a brown and black, approximately 2-year-old, 35-pound, neutered male, Australian Cattle dog mix.
He entered the shelter as a stray on 04-19-2024. He was adopted and reentered the shelter on 07-16-2024 as the new owner had no time to play with or care for him.
Firefox is a friendly, fun, and playful guy here at the shelter. Very full of energy, he loves to play. He was easy to leash, pulled a little, but could be corrected during walks. Firefox is the sweetest boy! He’s very energetic & loves to play, but once he’s gotten his energy out, he’s a ham!
At an adoption event he did wonderfully! He does well in the car, loves getting attention from kids & adults alike, & even did well with other dogs at the event. He does really well in play group also! If you are looking for that dog to play ball with, in the backyard, he is ready for a forever home.
JR & Nova
A1327863 Nova is a white colored, approximately 1 and a 1/2-year-old, 57-pound, spayed female, Pitbull.
She entered the shelter as a stray on 07-08-2024.
Nova is a friendly, energetic girl here at the shelter. Our staff says she is very outgoing and friendly. She loves attention and treats, but she will eat your hand as well as the treat in excitement. She was easy to leash and behaved during our walks. She has showed no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. Although she came in with J.R. and they appear to be siblings. Nova will be a fun-loving addition to some lucky family in her new forever home.
A1327862 J. R. is a black with white colored, approximately 1 and a 1/2-year-old, 66-pound, neutered male, Pitbull.
He entered the shelter as a stray on 07-08-2024.
J.R. is a friendly but timid boy here at the shelter. Our staff says he is shy at first but friendly. He listens well and has a calm nature. He loves treats. He was easy to leash and behaved during our walks. He has shown no interest in other dogs here at the shelter, but he came in with Nova and they appear to be siblings. Nova is his security blanket. J.R. will be a loving addition to some lucky family in his new forever home.
