Hello pet parents,
Well, it’s been a crazy few days! Warning for a sappy post -
We thank everyone for their kindness and support of us during this tough time. Please know that while we were battling the same devastation as the rest of the city, the dogs in our care remained our priority. All dogs were fed, medicated, given water, kept cool, and were monitored by very demoted team members. Staff stayed overnight for two nights to keep watch over our generator and have been working tirelessly to not only care for the dogs but clean up and rebuild in the aftermath, as two of our facilities received damage but are on the way to being fixed today (whoohoo). Working with animals require a lot of passion and patience, and lucky for us we have a team full of those qualities. Now for the updates:
Our Heights locations will be open tomorrow for all services except for academy which will resume Monday, July 15. Reservations are required for all services as we do have staff that are still recovering from personal devastation following the hurricane.
Our Maxie location only lost power for a few hours after Beryl hit and does currently have internet and phone service.
Our Shepherd location was operating under a generator but has since had power restored. The shepherd location has not had phone / internet service since Monday but is having phone calls forwarded to our Maxie location.
As of this post, the Energy Corridor location still does not have power. We are hoping to receive an update later today regarding the status. If your dogs have boarding reservations at this location, please call the Maxie location so that we can do our best to accommodate you at one of our Heights locations.
Once gain, we thank everyone for their patience as we have been operating under some truly unpredictable circumstances.
